Its the nature of the industry. I'd be on board with being sad about people being laid-off but an under-achieving hockey coach?
Nature of the beast.

Taking a while to get to 5000
|
He got to coach an NHL team for 2 years and leaves a millionaire.
He'll be fine.

Talked to my source about this, and he said 'no, I highly doubt that.'
Not definitive, but sounded like the team is looking elsewhere.

Ya I feel the exact same way about Tippett. I have better things to do then watch the Flames become the boring version of the Arizona Coyotes. I think I would actually prefer Eakins. Actually I really don't want either but you get my point.

Any news if it will be just GG or will the entire coaching staff be relieved? I want a complete fresh start.

Because I was curious - not too many coaches have been serving for more than 2-3 years in the NHL:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...L_head_coaches
Of the 15 coaches hired in 2015 or earlier, 3 coach Canadian teams.

List of Current NHL GMs:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_o...neral_managers
Of the 10 longest serving GMs, one is for a Canadian team.

And when the inevitable 'Gulutzan Re-Signing' is announced he'll be roundly criticized as a heretic and burned at the stake.

i'd be interested to see if they decided to go with a guy with a track record this time around...GG didn't exactly knock my socks off when he was hired on to be honest...
not necessarily a fan of retreads... but i have a feeling they'll look harder at guys with some coaching success at the NHL level... MacLean was a guy i was thinking of last cycle (along with BB of course)

Hard to say as Gelinas and Sigalet seem to be hand picked by management.

After an atrocious season, I'm truly excited to watch this coaching staff get the boot.
I am always one of the first to say that you never wish personal ill on a player or a coach. That being said, I genuinely hope that GG never gets a sniff at another coaching position in this league again.
He has sucked all joy out of my valuable entertainment hours for almost two years now. I feel a personal burden will be lifted once he's gone.

I agree with everything said in this post except the bold part, I want him get hired back on another team prompto, so he can ruin another team, it'll be easy point to pick up.

I'm not against Tippett, but I'm not excited about it either.
I hope that we're at least going to see what transpires before making a decision. I'm also hoping there's a conversation with Darryl before Tippett is decided.
Q, Sutter, AV, ... Tippett would be my preference

I have heard the reason he left Anaheim was a differing opinion with Caryle and the fact he didn't come cheap as an assistant.

I don't mind Gelinas but with this many failures in net, I hope they get someone other than Sigalet.

If Gulutzan is getting let go, then I hope Dave Cameron is getting fired into the sun. There is no excuses for our abysmal, absolutely wretched PP %.
