He might be talking about that Kipper's head was not in the game. Peter Mahr on the fan this morning, said he could tell during last nights game time shoot around, that Kipper looked like his head was elsewhere, and he thought Kipper would have a bad game before the puck even dropped.

The other talkers on the show mentioned that when they have looked into his eyes before the game starts, that he has not had the same look as he has in the past. They all seem to think his head is elsewhere. Granted it could be the family but they made it sound like its been like that before the birth of his child.

Persnoally i think he can't stand the way the team plays in front of him and has had enough.

Even then, he's worth way more to the Flames.
He's still our best player.
Maybe he didn't play his best this year, but I doubt that it's due to his age.
The point is to clear salary space and recoup draft picks. Everyone else who was part of the old core is going. He goes too.

He is not the first hockey player to have a birth of a child durring the season.

Also where have these health issues comments come from? Kipper was on a plane to Nashville, 24 hours after Oscars birth. If there were health issues, i think he would have just stayed in Calgary.

Well he clearly hasn't had time to take his son home to be baptized by the evil duids of the dark Fjords of evil in Finland, hows his boy supposed to sleep.

Kiprusoff isn't the first goalie to play in front of a bad defense or have a child born during the season. The guy is getting paid millions here - time to act professional. Playing like you don't care because you've "had enough" is not a valid excuse.

We need to beat this drum like like an interracial gay couple in Alabama. He's fed up. Everyone that was a part of any positive memories he has from this team is gone. A frustrating lack of success since the Vezina year.

I'd find it difficult to remain engaged too.

Guys with 50 million in career earnings have night nurses.

Roy deal to Van may change Van's positional needs for Luongo. Toronto may circle back before moving on Kiprusoff. #tradecentre

I don't understand how a team could choose Luongo over Kiprusoff

I do feel that having your agent holding conversations with another team about trades is a valid excuse though.

Bouwmeester looked terrible on Friday when he was likely involved in trade talks and Kipper looked bad last night.

Not sure why they started him, it had leaked Toronto had been granted permission to talk to him so they had the perfect excuse to sit him.

Media is an awesome tool, they are obviously leveraging this roy trade which does not effect goalies to reduce the asking price by Feaster.

Me neither...when considering the contract. If just looking at play/age I take Luongo at this point in their careers, but really would take neither.

I love how Leaf fans say they have no need for Kipper due to Reimer/Scrivens but want Luongo.

If Reimer is good enough why do you need a goalie signed for the next 10 years.

He's made big bucks for more than 10 years. He's willing to walk away from another 10 or 15 million if he plays another three years.

People making good money get tired of working in certain conditions all the time. Money is irrelevant. Everyone in the NHL makes big money.

That's why Toronto dealing for Loungo makes no sense unless your not sold on Reimer Scrivens.

Loungo's contract is a trap with its ridiculous length taking him to senior citizenship.

He needs to be a professional, his contract did not stipulate excellent defence protecting him.

RDS guy said on twitter that Kipper is ready to accept a trade to Toronto if he gets an extension.

So it's not an excuse. It's a reason. Just because it's a reason that rubs people the wrong way doesn't make it less true. And this is a guy who historically doesn't give a #### about rubbing anyone the wrong way. So I'm inclined to believe that he's had enough and wants a change of scenery.

Mikka Kiprusoff is open to a trade to Toronto. Still wants adjustment on his contract for next season. #transactions2013

Mikka Kiprusoff est prêt à accepter une transaction à Toronto s'il obtient une prolongation de contrat, voir + d'argents la saison prochaine
