Vladdy is 24 years old.

Honest question (not meant as a dig), do you watch a lot of other baseball other than the Jays? High talent, all star players, make mistakes somewhat regularly. Especially the young ones.

Maybe a bit of confirmation bias seeping into your comments? I dunno, you seem to want him to fail. But in my opinion you are overly critical of one of the best young players in the league, so imma call it out.

It's like Bo Bichette. People want to piss and moan about him at shortstop last year. He's an AMAZING young player. We should feel blessed to get to watch two potential hall of fame players playing in there prime for our team. And yet....

He may be only 24 but its his 5th season and we see the same mistakes a lot. He has the talent to be a superstar but I just don't think he has the toolbox.

Vlad hasn't been able to adjust to not chase but hopefully with age he'll eventually learn. Until then the Jays need to find someone behind him like the year he put up the big numbers (Marcus Semien) if you want Superstar numbers.

I think Vlad's issue is that when he doesn't chase he gets punished for it by the umps expanding their strike zone on him so he starts chasing again. Every time it feels like he lays off a pitch off the plate, he gets rung up.

Not a game changer but they probbaly thought he was an upgrade on Thronton.

Needed another Southpaw in the pen so I like it. The Jays basically have a depth starter and another bullpen arm as "deadline" acquisitions already with Ryu and Greene so really unless they can somehow get Ohtani (fat chance) all I really want is a lefty killing bench bat.

8pm starts are great. Have time to get home, make some dinner, crack a couple beers, and then sit down for the game.

Lets sweep these fools and put a huge damper on their playoff chances. A little payback for last year perhaps?

Miller’s fastball is incredibly straight. No movement at all.

Colour scheme works, pants do not.

The trident M logo is pretty slick.

How are you late on a fastball coming from a guy who overwhelmingly throws fastballs?
