Need a huge hit here from KK, gotta get some runs on Snell while we can.
Edit: Jays going to be Jays and get not even one run... At some point you need to every once in awhile put the squeeze on to grab that run. Given Merrifield on third and Kiermaier up it was a perfect situation.

Snell has walked 7 batters and the Jays have 5 hits. Yet only 1 run?! Only the 2023 Jays can achieve that kind of stat line.
Maybe they can do something with this 2 on nobody out situation...

Gotta give some credit to Snell even though he has been battling he hasn't hung much over the plate. Also he's been getting the low outside call all day which seems to happen way more than it should against the Jays. At least the Jays have look to have chased Snell but the Padres have a well rested bullpen so it's not going to get any easier.

Chapman’s gone from .384 at the end of April, to .262 headed into today and dropping.
Has he even hit .200 since May?
Hope the Blue jays have a plan for 3rd base after this season that doesn’t involve handing Matt a pen and paper.

Nothing irritates me more than a pitcher who has struggled with his command get the borderline calls. A strike is a strike but those weren't strikes and he shouldn't have been getting the benefit of the doubt.

What is even more irritating is when the Jays throw it in the zone low outside and don't get the call like in Manoahs last game.
