That is unlikely. The Night King predates The Wall and The Wall has stood for thousands of years. The Targaryens didn't arrive in Westeros until about 500 years before the events on the show.

I do like that Arya killed the NK, and with "the dagger". Still pretty disappointed the NK was a complete and utter baboon in the end, and we still have no idea why he decided to make his move when he did after 8,000 years.
I really hope the show gives us some painful payoffs, and the rest of the show doesn't go like:
1. Defeat Cersei's army by breathing fire all over it;
2. "Cleganebowl" is shown, but it has no relevance aside from "had to happen".
3. Short argument between various characters about who gets the Iron Throne, and what happens in the North;
4. Cersei goes mad, threatens wildfire for King's Landing;
5. Bronn and Jaime sneak in, prevent her from doing it;
6. Everybody's happy - Sansa and Tyrion get the North, and Jon and Dany have incest babies and the throne.
If this saga ends this way, I'm putting it up there with BSG as a show that jumped the shark and missed a golden opportunity for something really amazing.

Really hard to watch on my iPad - so dark and blurry. I couldn't tell what was happening half of the time. Hope to see it again soon on a big screen.

Arya is not Azor Ahai. Thats part of the reason why it was so strange for the writers to give her the kill of the Night King. She meets, maybe, 2 of the 5 conditions of the prophecy...... and that says nothing of Nisa Nisa and Lightbringer.
As we've heard Melisandre mention, Azor Ahai's second coming will be contingent on the following factors:
1. He or she must be born of smoke and salt
2. He or she must wake dragons out of stone
3. He or she must be born under a bleeding red star
4. He or she must make a sacrifice
5. Darkness must fall upon the earth
This was just fan service for a popular character.

Also, Arya OP now lol. Arya could travel quickly down to King's Landing - she travels really fast now - and give Cersei a good stabbing with a clever face. Fin.

For those who didn't catch it.
The left flank led by Brienne and Jamie were the Knights of the Vale (the ones that Littlefinger brought to rescue the Starks at the battle of the bastards).
The right flank led by Ranger Ed, Tormund, the Hound were made up of what's left of the Night's Watch, the Wildlings and maybe some North men.
It looks like most if not all the Northerners were inside the castle manning the walls.

1. Ambush Euron and kill him.
2. Take off his face and give it to Arya
3. Arya does her thing and kills Cersie during sexy time

The piano part near the end of the episode reminded me a lot of Westworld, actually. Not too surprising since it's the same guy composing for it and similar musical themes have been used in that show as well. I was also ready for a "cease all motor functions!" call-out.

I think the Dothraki are pretty much only useful for going balls to wall in a charge. They are fierce and brave, but dumb. They probably don’t know much about strategy or following orders. They are probably just as likely to kill allies by mistake. Still dumb to basically send them as new members of the Night Kings army, but i think it was because they over estimated their strength.
I still liked the episode a lot though.
I was hoping we would see Rob Starks reanimated corpse go after Sansa.

Once again I think this show has traumatized me a hair.
Man, watching the Dothraki get wiped out like that in what, a bit over a minute? That was just insane.
Got me to think about the size of the forces. Last number I heard about the size of the undead army was from Danny last season when they met in Kings Landing. She said it had to be 100,000 if not more.
Weren't the Dothraki of similar size? What about the Unsullied? How many of them were there when Danny took control of them.
Man a lot of people died. And quickly.

Seriously though, these accusations of fan service are so lazy.
It's a logical conclusion that a major character would take out another major character, isn't it? Arya the girl trained in assassination and super sneakiness is a logical choice. Jon was the other but it could've been anyone. Would those have been fan service too?
Who cares about Azor Ahai. Unless I missed something Melisandre never called Arya that, she just said she'd shut some lights out, that was her prophecy for Arya. Nothing else. The 2/5 Prince that was promise mark doesn't matter.
At that point it was great writing. Arya had been out of the picture for sometime, you have cut backs to Jon trying desperately to to Bran and Arya comes out of nowhere to do it.
Well done.

I feel like this is not going to end well for anyone but Cersei at this point....Given the losses sustained fighting the white walkers and logistics behind fighting another battle imminently. Unless Cersei is abandoned by her mercenaries, anyway.
I do hold out hope to see the hound/mountain square off in some sort of deathly combat scene for the ages before this is all over. What a ride. It's still sad to think this is coming to an end in just a few weeks now.

Ya, and it's not like Melisandre has been all that spot on with her predictions. 2/5 is pretty good, for her.

Arya doesn't seem like the settling down to become queen type. I expect her story ends with her getting on a ship to Essos or something. Gendry doesn't seem like king material either - maybe he becomes the head of House Baratheon, but that's about it.

That ending would suit the outlook of the first three seasons. But GoT has become a very different show since then. I'd be surprised if it has a cynical or downbeat ending.

Great episode but I do echo the thoughts that everything feels a bit too straight forward, good vs evil, evil defeated, well done hero's.
I'd be surprised if this is truly the end of the white walkers.

I like how Bran basically told Theon he was a good dude, now be a good dude and die.
I'm not sure why Theon did that. Maybe wait until the night king gets close, then take your chances? The run was almost comically stretched out, too. Reminded me of this(no spoiler, just hiding it):
