Have you sent dobbles81 a friend invite yet? If you have and he's accepted you, all he needs to do is fire you off an invite. I'll send you a pm on how to register for the cp fata website where you can participate in the chat. It's the best way to find out when people will be on or if they're playing. If dobbles is on you can harass him to invite you to the team if he hasn't already.

Ya you need to be invited by a gm (staypuft or dobbles) first. Just let them know you want to join.
On a side note, cpfatas own RedMile34 has informed me that he just helped Craig Conroy pick a cantaloupe.

fyi - i was not around much of the weekend. if theres anyone that wants on the team, staypuft and zukes are also GM's.
its been stated many times before, but the easiest way to get on the team is to add dobbles81 to your psn friends list. once i add you, just send me a reminder message to add you to the eashl team.

I hate it when people disconnect on me, was up 3-2 15 seconds left in the third and he/she pulls the plug.

Has anybody on the fatas even won a shootout using actual people? I know my buddy claims to have won one for us, but as I never saw it i'm inclined to call BS.

I won a shootout playing with Merc and CalgaryFlame at one point...we scored on our first two shots. It is possible.

Does anyone have any tips on how to put the puck in the net? I've only scored two goals, and one of them was when my player rolled over the puck and slid into the net.

positioning is everything. Give yourself enough chances to receive a pass in the slot and you'll eventually start potting them. Low percentage shots don't seem to go in like they used to. Also, maybe try changing up the style of your player. I went from a playmaker to a sniper and the shooting difference is huge.

I played a game where I'm pretty sure the player who did score in the shootout to win it for us was controlled by a human.

Positioning, stick selection and curve selection are the 3 more easily modified variables for shooting the puck. Then there's SS accuracy and WS accuracy. If you have a lot of power, then low percentage glove shots can be a valid option since the odds of your shot being able to beat the goaltender go up, or even then, since it is such a hot shot, the puck will trickle around to the other side, or someone else will get the rebound.
Also, goalies will over commit, so if you have time to go across the goal crease and get the goalie to follow you, a quick reversal of the left stick and shooting at the same time will result in those seam goals that go in.

God QC has no depth. We have Pete Vandermeer playing d for us since Pelech got called up. And is it just me or is Lundmark a way better option then Boyd? Lundmark will actually go in a corner and dig out the puck for me
