lame lol. I never said he was trash. He's just been pretty average.
We were sold a bill of goods that he would be "BY FAR the best Dman" on the Flames after the trade. The only dman he has outplayed this year is Stone and the AHLers.
Zero offence and can't seem to make easy passes. Also he must have set a Flames record for most penalties for shooting the puck out...

It depends what you're looking for. Weegar is remarkably good at standing up at the blueline and denying entry. He makes it look so easy, it almost seems like the other team's forwards just made a sloppy turnover but it happens all game and it's almost always him.

I don’t know if he’s worth the money he’s getting, but without him the Flames would be in serious trouble. The Kylington situation has really thrown a wrench into the Flames defensive depth.

Guys...just like Huberdeau, you will have to give Weegar time. He will impress you in the long run.
And yet, he will make the odd gaff that makes you shake your head. But that's why he's paid 6+ million and not 9.25 million like some other idiot up the road.

Are the graphs on the right not isolated by year? I thought the 3-year average was just the percentages in the boxes on the left. According to the graphs on the right, he's been slightly worse offensively but even better defensively this year compared to the last two years.
