There's a timeline issue with this series for sure, some TV critics have brought it up. Skyler calculated his income to be 7 million a year and they've gone through Skylar's pregnancy and the baby being around for a while, and Hank being shot and going through rehab to a more self-sustaining level.

They spent 900k on the carwash and 670ish on Ted. Lets assume 300k for Walt's home (which is WAY too high and also assuming he bought it), 400K for Hank's rehab, 50K for the car .... 100K on other stuff we haven't seen

So assuming it's only been 6 months (which is low) and overestimating Walt's spending at 2.05 million, he should have at least a million left.

It doesn't make sense.

Is it 17% to the lawyer, or less? Yeah, it makes no sense. That condo he lives in, is probably $60K max, judging by how much condos cost in Phoenix.

There are his own cancer treatments, as well. Whatever those would come out to. I thought he was renting the house though. Saul is probably costing him $100k or so.

He should still have some from his previous endeavours prior to Gus, although I don't remember how significant those were, or if he lost them. He did a calculation during an earlier episode about how much more he needs to set his family up for the rest of their lives while he was stuck in the desert with Jesse.

The rest of the money might be tied up as its being laundered through the car wash.

Thought Skyler picked the carwash to do the laundering themselves and avoid Saul's laundering fee.

Perhaps. I thought they were still paying him a cut, but I could be wrong. I'll re-watch the whole thing sometime after this season.

Gus is paying 3 million dollars for 3 months but I'm pretty sure that is shared 50/50 with Jesse. I read somewhere that a season is only 3 months or something like that.

Also keep in mind that that one of those big paydays he got in an earlier season was split with Jesse, but then Jesse lost his half and Hank ended up giving him half again.

I also found it strange that the low life drug dealers, the ones Walt ran over with his vehicle, would have any direct connection with Gus. I could never understand why that meeting took place where Gus tell's them not to use children anymore. They should have no idea who Gus is, as they're the front lines, and if ever caught could easily give Gus up, and probably would to save themselves.

I agree. This show is generally very good when it comes to details but that one seemed pretty weak. Gus really should only be in contact with no more than 5 guys. Him giving direct orders to a couple of hood rats was just ridiculous.

If you watch the teaser for the next episode, Walt tells Skylar that he has been living afraid for his life for the past year, so wouldn't that mean that he has been cooking for Gus longer than 3 months?

It might be a reference to the cancer as well.

Yes, there are two left this season. I fear painful cliffhangers. I have no patience.

Season went by fast, especially with no hiatus to interrupt the flow.

Holy Mackinaw, is it Sunday yet?
If you can freeze this video at the 23 second mark, you can see what looks like Gomez taking a picture at the laundry mat. Should be interesting.

My guess is this. Gus ends up dead by the end of the season. His most trusted soldier is currently in the hospital for another few weeks. Next season starts with Mike coming back from Mexico and picking up pieces.

I've kind of given up guessing where this show is going. I honestly have no idea. Whatever I guess, I'm sure I'll be wrong.
