If they did a white shirt with the full red sash, basically the exact reverse of the original jersey…..

Article linked in the tweet is behind a paywall but it sounds like CPL is back on OneSoccer, at least for 2024.

For anyone wanting to watch the Langford leg of CONCACAF, Ship and Anchor and Kildares will both be showing it. Ship is turning out to be a great partner pub.

I'm stoked - I've asked all my closest friends, Cavs fans or not, to come to the Ship on Wednesday. I hope there's a massive turnout to cheer the lads on!

I’m getting pretty amped up for this game - just wish it was here! Looks like there are still lots of seats available, I hope there is good support for the lads at the game.

In other news - assisting coaching vacancy will be announced/filled within the next week or two.

I think this Cavalry team is good enough and will take a scalp of an MLS team this year. Orlando? Could be but that’s a tough ask. Canadian Championship? I could see it

I don't follow MLS that much, but it's a pretty big ask for Cavalry against Orlando. It would be awesome if they somehow pulled it off, but just looking at last season they were a good team in a far better league, so it's a tough draw.

I dont mind if they lose the aggregate, but winning a leg would solidify Cavalry as the premier team in the CPL.

If they can keep the aggregate scoreline to within five goals, I will be shocked.

One advantage Cavalry has compared to Whitecaps and Forge in the CCC is Orlando hasn’t started their season either (and Orlando’s season opener is the weekend between the CCC games)
Hopefully they keep it close in Victoria and give themselves something to play for in Orlando
Edit: but it is important to remember that this is Cavs’ first time in continental competition. It’s a big step up

Orlando are a pretty strong side so I'm not expecting a result from these two legs. But it's good to have the game back even if for a short time before another long break.

While I want the Cavs to win this series against Orlando obviously, I think even just being in this Champions Cup in general, among the big boys across NA, is an excellent experience, giving this club a taste of the 'big time' and make this club hungrier for even more success. It's starting to feel like Cavalry is attempting to evolve past/ reach higher than just their place in the CPL; just the vibe I've been slowly getting from the club over recent years.

This is nothing if not an absolutely character-building experience to test their skills against top talent. A result is gravy, but the chance to get battle-hardened to prepare for the 2025 season is the primary goal here.
I still suspect there are going to be a few MLS scouts at this game.

Also, some Cavs-related news, Mo Farsi earned himself a multi-year contract extension with the Crew, and waved off potential European interest:

Wouldn't surprise me if Calgary's entire back end is under MLS scouting watch over the next week; Klomp leading that interest.

Does anyone have a running list of Cavs Allumni who have moved on to higher leagues.
Zator, Fatrsi, Waterman, Pepple, Latouri?
