Loans from Sporting and Everton. Cavalry is on the football world map and this is this probably the most legitimizing thing that has happened to the CPL (outside of Waterman making the World Cup squad)
Calgary is definitely a 'big market team' in the CPL, and is really helping to increase the quality of the league overall. I think the secret is now out for players that playing for Cavalry means there's eyes on you. This football club, while still learning how to grow as an organization on and off the field, has come a REALLY LONG way since its inception in 2018.

I think that the club simply does not want to spend a lot of resources on the backup GK with Marco still at the club. Better to deploy those resources elsewhere on the pitch.
.
The leash for Marco isn’t as long as you might think. There’s a reason they went out and got a keeper from a club like Everton. (Yes, he’s lower on their depth chart, but the club is high on him). They weren’t happy with goals conceded in the final.
In other news - assisting coaching vacancy will be announced/filled within the next week or two.

I think Carducci is adequate, but not amazing and definitely not irreplaceable.

Last year they didn't have enough salary cap room to sign a backup GK on a league minimum. So even having a backup on a pro deal is taking it more seriously.
Curious on the assistant coach. Wonder if it will be Jay Wheeldon sliding in or someone else local?
Happy kit release day. From the teasers it looks like it's going to be red and green as per usual. Maybe the rumoured white kit is a third?
I'd like to see a mostly-white away kit. No gradients or anything weird - just a clean, white kit with nice trim.
But I think we're going to get the usual red/green duo, and based on the teaser, I think you're right about a white third kit. Relieved to not have a black kit again (hopefully) - it has been overdone, but I know that they are easier to wear around town and are popular among fans, so I understand it. But lets mix it up.

I don't hate them, but I don't love them. I guess I'll see what they look like in person and make a decision (because I really need another shirt like this).
I do like the Concacaf scarves though and am starting to get some FOMO there.

I think they look solid. I bought a similar one of these kits for a european team last season with the thick neck and sleeves and the only criticism I have is that it's a bit weird/overly thick, feels a bit like a turtleneck. What I really like about Macron is how they are willing to design unique kits for all their clubs though. Nike, Adidas, Puma and the like with their identikits are really missing an opportunity here that Macron is jumping at... good on them.
