I know which building you're talking about without clicking the link. Looks absurd.

It is, in fact, worse.

I don't mind that building, I find the inset windows with the yellow accents interesting. The building next to it is definitely more generic...but either way, both are better than the typical crappy hardie panel facade that's seemingly on every new building now.

CP group buy? What a monstrosity. I bet we could get it for $12.9m. Then we’d need another 2 mil for new interior decorating. The whole house is garish.
Spoilers for size but also for taste. Yeesh.

The yellow is gonna look like runny ass once a bit of grime sticks to it.

Do you know where in Hillhurst they are moving to?

I don’t think they’ve announced where yet but apparently it’s a different style (ie cafe instead of cupcake store)

It's been around for a year now and has looked fine. You must just hate yellow. I'll take it over every red accent that fades to pink.

I like yellow a lot, it's just that weird school bus yellow in a sea of black. This one in Canmore has a better yellow, and better balanced. It looks better driving by than this photo, but street view isn't updated yet.

I've always liked that Canmore hotel too. It's fine if you don't like the Foothills one (not like its my favorite either), but hating the color combo just seems a bit odd since the yellows aren't that dissimilar to me...maybe slightly more red tint in one. But if you think the yellow will look back because of grime on one, it will look bad on the other too. My biggest peeve with the Foothills building is not the yellow, but the fact that the blue window portion on the west side doesn't really match the vibe of the rest of the building.
But whatever, there are way worse architectural atrocities in this town. This is the epitome of the trend I absolutely hate:
Imagine showing that in your design portfolio.

Aside from the decorating, how does a garish monstrosity like that only have a 3 car garage?

The "Shaw" house is at the eastern-most end of the street.
The house in the listing belongs to the sister of the developer.
