Was it a jury in a criminal case? No, it was not. You're a lawyer; you KNOW the difference between civil liability and criminal guilt. Why are you using the former as if it was equivalent to the latter? Shame on you.

Because you were disputing "liability".
But fine - he's just a multiple times felon and a person who's been found civilly liable for sexual assault, and who's admitted that he likes to barge in on teenage women who are changing clothes.
What a hero.

Seriously dude, take it to the off topic forum. You call that a cesspool, but I got news for you, you’ve turned this thread into one.

This is one of those stupid things about U.S. law, arising from the huge difference in burden of proof between civil and criminal cases. Similarly, O. J. Simpson was successfully sued for millions for ‘wrongful death’ for a murder that he was acquitted of committing by the courts. Don't make the mistake of confusing civil liability with criminal guilt.

Actually he was found liable of sextual abuse and the judge clarified he was found to have raped E. Jean Carroll "What the jury found Donald Trump did to was in fact rape, as commonly understood"
nice hero...he also scammed a childrens cancer charity for good measure
Defending Trump is ####ing weird...like you can pretend you haven't been pulled in by the cult but there is no other explaination.
nah nah nah nah nah nah nah nah, leader, leader, leader!

At this point I don't know why we're defending any politicians. They're almost all pieces of ####, who don't actually give a #### about the common person - they will say whatever they need to to placate their supporters and then behave in a way that enriches themselves and the elites that support them. All the major sources of information are essentially corporate/state (is there a difference?) propaganda. The laws in place are to protect them from us, as they exist outside of because they control it. And to avoid being off topic, I believe that in some way this is all connected to Huberdeau's lack of production since joining the Flames.

You're still not getting the difference between ‘preponderance of evidence’ (civil case) and ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’ (criminal case).

Nobody is calling the guy a hero. I'm saying it's disgusting to call him either a child rapist or a murderer, both of which you have done.
Do you live in a world where everyone you don't like is automatically guilty of every crime on the books?
I myself have been accused ON THIS VERY BOARD of being a child molester, to the point where my accuser threatened to call the police on me. He had NO evidence of any kind, because there isn't any; I have never done such a thing and never would. I don't like being treated that way, and I don't like to see other people treated that way, no matter who they are. Accusing people of crimes they did not commit is WRONG.

I'm defending people who haven't raped children against being accused of raping children. Should I make an exception for Trump because he's a bad person in other respects?

I don't wade around in the sewers, either: not because I'm chicken, but because I'm not that stupid. But if the sewer backs up and there is sewage around my feet, guess what? I'm going to deal with that.

Why did Biden hide the same files for four years?
|
Biden didn't run on the release of the files. It was irrelevant to his entire campaign. Nothing is being actively hidden if it isn't a point of contention. There just wasn't a tsunami of public pressure for transparency then as there was leading up to Trump's admin. COVID was kind of the overriding issue then. Maybe if it wasn't, and this level of public interest built up, he would have?
Trump, on the contrary, ran in part on the promise of the release and transparency. And despite claims of client lists sitting on desks, he's delayed and dragged his feet despite possessing the full authority to do so, at any time.
Signing a law means nothing if you're going to immediately break and not honor it (which they are doing).

Anyway, Mr. Current Events, Trump ordered the release of the files two months ago:
https://www.cbc.ca/news/world/trump-...gned-9.6985675
Tell me again about how he's hiding files that are already released. Or we can talk about his predecessor, who actually did hide the files for his entire term.
|
They've broken that law and are actively breaking it by the day.
Again, what does it matter if you don't honor what you signed off on?
0.4% released, most of that scrubbed.
You're biting hook, line and sinker on words, while ignoring the actions.
You're defending a guy who is actively providing refuge and anomymity for pedophiles. I'd be embarrassed.

Did you even read what I said in post #4288? I suggest you look at it carefully and have a good hard think before posting again. You might understand why this is a touchy subject for me, and ‘leader leader leader’ has nothing to do with it.

At the very least he has been accused multiple times, ran teen pagents and walked in on them changing, is hiding rape files that supposedly exonerate, was best friends with king pedo, gave Maxwell who was found guilty of child sex crimes a nicer prison stay, has pardoned pedos, found liable of sexual abuse, stole from a childrens cancer charity
Strange his to die on no?
There is probably someone out there more worthly no? Just realize its a ####ing cult guy, I'm trying to save you

Again: You are claiming that the files show Trump is guilty of paedophilia. A conviction on such a charge would have put Trump in prison for the rest of his life (and there is no statute of limitations on that charge in New York).
Why did Biden's DOJ refrain from using that evidence to charge Trump with statutory rape, if the evidence was what you claim it is? For four solid years they did nothing against their openly declared enemy, while bringing him up on numerous other charges. Does that make any sense at all?

I have personally been accused of molesting children on this board, when I am completely innocent of any such thing. You don't get why I don't like to see accusations like that being thrown around against ANYONE?

I don't give a crap whether he is ‘worthy’ or not. I give a crap about not seeing Internet mobs attack people for things they didn't do. Like a certain user on this board attacked me for something I did not do, and threatened to report me to the police for it.
Do you even begin to understand this? Please answer that question directly before you taunt me any further.
