This is the worst audio I've heard on TV for a sports crowd in a long time. Sportsnet had this problem at Flames games in the 2000's quite a bit, too. Like they left one mic by a small group of fans and thought "there we go, everyone will think that's the whole crowd"
Amateur hour.
The loudest most obnoxious drunk fans too. Reminds me of the games in Florida and Buffalo last year.
Seems a fine built team. Pretty well balanced. Not a great pen for sure but they did have a very good July. However the Orioles are now a pretty good team with a great bullpen so you need to get to their starters. Jays just haven’t done that this series.
I know the 0-2 strike call didn't decide the game, but if you're going to make a call that far outside it makes Vladdy think he pretty much needs to swing at anything. That was a terrible call.

The Orioles are a very dangerous team. Playing with house money and a lot of very talented ball players. 2.5 behind the Jays with 14 games against each other coming up. Going to be a slog down the stretch.
Why does it seem like Vladdy has been burned on those outside missed calls way more than anyone else this year?
Umpiring is bad everywhere. I don't know why umpires have to rotate. If some umps are better at home plate than others, give them more games at home. An ump might be good at bang-bang first base calls, give him first base more.

The Orioles taking our lunch money is not something I would have predicted. Baseball is a weird, unpredictable game haha
I absolutely would have. This was totally predictable. There's no killer instinct, no real focus... This is exactly what happened earlier in the season when they had an opportunity with a weak stretch before that murderer's row of a schedule that had them back at like 45-42 or whatever. They gave away games to bottom feeders like the Royals for no reason. Great teams, with actual aspirations of doing anything in the postseason, should feast on those opportunities to build up a cushion for the lean times.
Anyway, to cleanse the palate, here's some content from the best storytellers in sports media. Nothing to do with the Jays but as always a great watch.

Is it wrong I kind of am cheering for the Orioles…
Yes. Yes it is. lol
I do feel that this iteration of the Orioles is infinitely more likeable than the previous one that featured Jones, Davis, O'day, Showalter, and a variety of other punchable faces though.
Also Roughened Odor. Never cheer for anyone that employs that little turd. His celebration when catching the final out last night would make the Braves World Series celebration blush.
