Manoah hasn’t been quite as sharp recently.

I’m a bit worried that the innings might be catching up with him. A 6 man rotation would for the next while to let him rest but we only have 3 (2.5?) starting pitchers.

Manoah is a grinder though. He’ll make the very best of the stuff that he has.

I think he's fine. Things ebb and flow. He'll be hot again soon.

That is low-key maybe the biggest homer of the year for the Jays. Now hold it.

Feels weird saying that in a game against the O’s in August

Game not official yet is it? Would've been good timing for sure

5 complete is, unless the rule has changed

5 complete, but does the op of the 6th count, if they can't go back out on the field?

Huh interesting, according to this the game would be continued at a later date if it were to be called tonight (which I doubt it will)

“A game is considered a regulation game -- also known as an "official game" -- once the visiting team has made 15 outs (five innings) and the home team is leading, or once the home team has made 15 outs regardless of score. …

“If a regulation game is terminated early due to weather, the results are considered final if the home team is leading. If the home team is trailing, the results are considered final if the game is not in the midst of an inning when the visiting team has taken the lead.

If a regulation game is terminated early due to weather and the game is either tied or in the midst of an inning in which the visiting team has taken the lead, it becomes a suspended game that will be completed at a later date from the point of termination.”

So not a complete game yet, needs to be completed at a later date, if not tonight.

However, if they continue tonight, and finish the 6th, it would then convert to complete game status.

I think if it gets suspended, it picks up where it left off to complete the game. They won't start it again to complete the 6th and call it. They'll finish the game.

They'll TRY to finish the game.

But if it gets to a complete inning point, and they call it again, that'll be that.

It now qualifies as a complete game (in case they can't finish it tonight)

Don’t get it. Bass threw only 10 pitches and looked great. Why not let him have the next inning too

Schneider has gone multi inning more than Montoya did but just a reality in this day and age that most relievers just go one inning. Kinda just what they’re trained to do.

This is the worst audio I've heard on TV for a sports crowd in a long time. Sportsnet had this problem at Flames games in the 2000's quite a bit, too. Like they left one mic by a small group of fans and thought "there we go, everyone will think that's the whole crowd"

Amateur hour.
