My boys were the same. Snowboard in a hoody. If it got really cold, they'd put on a nylon coaches jacket from their club and wear that over the hoody. They did wear a ninja suit underneath it all though.

I worked with an old Indigenous guy in the oil patch who would wear a jean jacket and Stanfield sweater - rain or shine or -40. He just did not get cold.

I had no idea something like that existed. Do you have to, like, wear a garter belt or something? Seems to solve a problem I do not have.

I’m with you on almost all this stuff, but WTF are sock suspenders?
My brother and I have been on the spork train for years. The best ones used to be sold at MEC and they’re titanium. At least in my professional opinion (as a spork professional!)

Is cold calling through Linkedin becoming a thing these days ?
In the past month I have been asked to connect to 5 different financial planners / advisors.
I have never met you nor do I need your services.

Oh, we've all seen them before. They were all the rage, back in the day...

Oh, that looks uncomfortable. Is this a problem that needs solving since we invented elastics?

I’ve culled my connection list quite a bit. The endorphins from seeing a notification from the same type of vendor was wearing off.
Or people from the same company requesting a connection. Like, no, one is enough. They all post the same stuff and send the same insincere messages. Coordinate yourselves.

My “express “ bus has too many stops along Centre St. It’s express between downtown and my neighborhood. The people along Centre St have other buses they can take to downtown.

It grinds my gears that many people won't ever learn about these things from history because much of what we see and hear, if we just rely on what's easiest to consume, is heavily filtered.
The numbers are mind-blowing. Such cruelty by the British.

How British colonialism killed 100 million Indians in 40 years
Between 1880 to 1920, British colonial policies in India claimed more lives than all famines in the Soviet Union, Maoist China and North Korea combined.

Not to say that colonialism was good, but that article was pretty brutal.

I don't get the spork thing. Sure I know what they are but I just have never had a time in my life where I was, Gee I sure wish I had a spork.
The only time I can possibly see this is when I pack my lunch of something like soup with long noodles and I forget to pack either a spoon or fork. The issues is that the tines on a spork are always so small they are borderline useless.

If I read this right, you read a historical opinion article and got outraged? You lost me on the "much of what we see and hear" part.

When you're turning right and the person in front of you is either too stupid or too scared and waits for all traffic to pass even though the turning lane was free and clear for miles.

Where did I lose you? In my view, what we see on mainstream media is heavily filtered so we don't become aware of things that our governments feel will reflect poorly on them. Agreed that the link is an opinion piece. Can't say I disagree with the premise of it which is how devastating the British Empire was to Indians. Fair enough if you feel it's just an opinion.

That the British Empire was horrible to Indian is not news or something that was hidden from the public audience. Who didn’t know this? Did nobody watch “Gandhi”?

This is the type of thing Wim Hof claims you'll be able to do when you do his program.

Wait until they learn about what those seemingly benign Dutch did.
