I'd take another after this please without even seeing this one. The reinvention of Thor by Hemsworth and Waititi is one of the best things Marvel has ever done.

I think he was pretty much out until they re-invented him. He had mentioned being tired with no where to go. He received a lot of praise for Ragnarok and especially Endgame for what he’s done with the character.
And yeah what Hemsworth does is not “staying in shape”. To do what he does with his body takes a regime of working out and eating like Michael Phelps. It’s not a fun time by all accounts. Especially as they get older. Hugh Jackman talked about the necessary combo of working out and dehydration and starving in order to do a shirtless scene as Wolverine.

Yeah...this.
It is something that has to be taken into account for all actors working on Superhero films.
It is physically demanding and exhausting, not to mention packing that much muscle onto your frame for an extended period of time can also do some fun damage to ye ol' joints.
Similar to a guy like Daniel Craig, because getting into that shape is hard, staying in that shape is nearly impossible and then getting back into that kind of shape is straight-up brutal.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.
Great trailer. "New" Thor is really fun. I hope they keep it going too.
Only thing with that end scene is now they're watering down the once rare honor it was to pick up Mjolnir a bit.
I think she's probably from a different universe. One where Thor died at some point. Maybe the one from What If...? where Hawkeye accidentally shot him?

Well there's a lot of people in the whole universe. You'd expect at least a dozen aren't total d-bags.
What I mean is it waters down the awesomeness of Cap Hammer.
Which is why I'm hoping she's a different version of him from an alt universe, which makes me feel better about that. Keeps the worthy circle very small, as it should be.
I haven't read the comics this is based on obviously, but that would make sense with the whole multiverse splitting going on. But I think I also heard somewhere that it's Jane's character undergoing a transformation of sorts that turns her into she-Thor.

I think in the comics she has cancer and is given the power of Thor to keep her alive (at the sacrifice of Thor losing his powers). I don't think they'll necessarily go that route here. Marvel has done a good job off keeping what makes sense and losing things that won't work when it comes to adapting comic stories.
However, it could be both. Infinite universes, infinite ways to do it. It doesn't have to jive with current continuity at all.

James Gunn deserves credit too. Guardians set a new tone for the off earth MCU films that Thor followed.
Great trailer. Gave us a high level idea of the plot with a big tease at the end.

That said, it could be both. Just that
The movies really could have capitalized a little more on the Donald Blake human side of Thor. I miss that...along with Thor's helmet.
I liked the part of the trailer where he was wearing his original 1960s comic book costume as a teenager.
Well cartoons are one thing. Lots of Avengers cartoons out there too.
But I don’t see alot of Iron Man tv shows, and that is nowhere near the iconic character that Superman is.
Nothing against these shows. There is just no strategy to develop the type of brand quality needed to build out the value that Disney has. They learned their own lesson cranking out cheaper direct to video sequels to their huge animated classics. Those all made money, but only in the short run.
If Disney does some X-men tv shows they will be high production value with high quality talent. Oscar Isaac is some character no one has heard of for example. Imagine what they will do with a flagship property like X men.
I don't really see the difference. A show being animated or live action is still diluting the brand. They are all aimed at different audiences. The live action DC stuff is aimed at young adults and people interested in more drama based fare. No different than specifically aiming animated shows at kids.
Also Marvel has tried their own low-budget TV series, with the Agents of Shield and all its spinoffs. IMO the fact that those TV series are part of the main MCU is a huge negative. I don't want to have to watch that crap to keep up to date with the storylines. On top of that you have to keep coming with constant excuses for why the heavy hitters aren't helping out. We know that Captain Marvel has better things to do than stop Thanos from getting Infinity Stones, but why aren't the heavy hitters stepping in once during all these SHIELD conflicts.
Marvel also had the Inhumans, multiple Netflix shows, etc...They just weren't all that successful.
