I always enjoyed Terry Crisp on Preds (I think) broadcasts. I think he's retired now though

torts on the broadcasts would have me tuning in religiously . but they would never put him in that position if they couldn't get him to lie through his teeth to an audience . torts has too much integrity for that

I'm obviously not understanding this point. Both Bieksa and Hrudey were in the NHL.

I note that the twitter algorithm that has spoon fed me oiler crap for weeks hasn’t sent me one thing related to the loser oilers since Saturday night. Good.

Normal service resumed again.
I was treated to an “oilers would have won if…” list that included better refereeing, showing up in the first period, coach not able to get McDavid and Draisatl out because of nhl schedule and second games and all of that, and salary cap unfairly applied to oilers.
I suppose that’s the toews angle!

I love the mental gymnastics to the opposing comments of ..
"we were one shot short, and almost tied it"
and
"Skinner was awesome, we have a star there!"

I forgot about Hrudey because he’s normally in the booth. But yeah, Saturdays he’s often on the panel. I think his value as an analyst is almost gone though. He hasn’t played in decades and he never coached. His main contribution has always been about how players feel, and act in the room but I think he’s too distant from it now.
They need someone to explain plays, systems, etc. Hell, even someone who knows the rules (remember the kicking motion - none of them knew the rule).

Finally got back from E-Town... lol
Was watching the 1st period from the West Ed Casino. The amount of sadness and salt Kadri unloaded on them was epic!
It was worth it to lose $200 in craps to watch the bitterness..... umm would have been better if it didn't cost me $200 though lol

I assume it would be something like when Roy Kent became an analyst.

Outside of the second period The Oilers just showed how inferior they are. The Flames pretty much got a huge lead, and sat back, lesson learned in the third period they pushed the pace and the Oilers couldn't keep up.
The Flames recognized one big thing from last year. The Flames couldn't compete with the team speed of the Avs and the Oilers.
This year the Flames looked every bit as fast as the Avs, and were able to push the pace with the Oilers.
This was a blow out disguised with a close score, but honestly this game wasn't close and three posts covered for the Oilers. It should have been 6 or 7 or 8 to 3.
The Oilers are awful, full stop
They're a worse team then last year, full stop
Campbell will be suffering from rubber poisoning and PTSD by the end of Dec and go on LTIR and Mike Smith will make his triumphant return until his groin explodes like a pair of stale rubber bands.

look at it this way - if you had gone to the arena, it would have cost you $200 in popcorn and pepsi
