If you are actually interest to know the people involved in organizing and participating in this, I'd highly suggest looking through this guy's Twitter. He has part of antihate.ca, and done an exceptional job gathering plenty of evidence, and posts it regulalry. It is a slog, though, lots there:

The TLDR; if you don't want to see the evidence is that yes, they are racist. A person of colour dancing in the street doesn't really prove otherwise. But the facts are out there, and they are ugly. Particularly around some of the more extreme elements and their nonchalant views about killing police, and doing whatever it takes, which is evidenced by the busts at Coutts. The threats are real.

My wife's work does work in the remand centre with people there. Her co-worker who frequently goes there to work with people hasn't been allowed in since he's been remanded. His supporters have been disrupting access to people to visit inmates.

We'd all be better off trying to acknowledge the other side more (whichever side that may be) and understand what is driving their view and that there likely is some common ground between us all.

Instead we get both sides trying to go nuclear on each other rather than find that happy medium. Nuanced debate and rationality are dead, and instead the other side is "literally Hitler" in every and all disagreements. Its frustrating to watch everything become tribalized on all sides.

Trying to take away kids, get people cancelled over donations, whatever it is - that isn't going to change any minds or reduce division in the slightest. Culturally we need a reconing to get back to civility in our disagreements instead of seeking absolute destruction of opposition.

I'd be happier acknowledging the other side more if they (the unvaccinated) would own up to be being the primary cause of restrictions being put in place during the Delta wave. The things that they are protesting were literally initiated by the actions/inactions of the unvaccinated.

I've also declared my seven points for a "Road Map to Freedom". See the following:

1. Get the #### out of Ottawa and go home
2. Stop pretending you represent Canadians like you are forming some government committee
3. Clean up your disgusting crap in and around Parliament Hill
4. Stop hijacking the Canadian flag and the word 'freedom' (you don't know what the loss of real freedom looks like)
5. Face the law for charges you are likely going to be face, big or small
6. Turn yourself in peacefully and in an orderly fashion
7. Take your racism and bigotry and stick it up your ass

These useless bags of protein can go pound sand. You don't get to declare yourself as part of any democratic process. Want change? Vote in the next election.

Fences have gone up around the parliament hill grass area. Sounds like police are moving in. Last night Tamara Lich recorded a long message where she cried lots, and said she is assuming she is going to jail today. Pat King didn't manage to flee to New Brunswick, and is freaking out a bit about cops on buses on their way.

They seem frustrated they can't access the money that is locked down. That's a real shame. Sounds like they only ever got 13k out of it, so there are going to be a lot of unpaid bills and truckers.
