Versteeg is basically the 2nd defenseman on that PP unit, since we run 4 forwards. Brodie ####ed up, but Versteeg could've covered for his mistake with a bit of hustle.

I think he's an unnecessary scapegoat who doesn't deserve the vitriol he's gotten of late. He's looked very good tonight, IMO. Pretty much everyone else in that bottom-6 is a more deserving target.

Well Brodie was terrible and Versteeg should have recognized that. Not being a defenseman is irrelevant.

Not letting Brodie off the hook, but Versteeg could have done more there IMO.

Flames are playing well, they should win this game.

I don’t think Versteeg is a bad player, but GGs refusal to remove him from the PP is maddening.

Agreed. Versteeg on the pp needs to end. Just let Stone who is a legetimate threat to shoot wind up and open up some different lanes.

We have dominated the Canucks. 3-3 totally doesn't tell the story. Just a few brain dead turnovers. Tkachuk on the 2nd goal and Versteeg/Brodie on the tying goal.
