Congrats to Resolute14!!
And thank you for not entering the same other contest as I did!!!
(humble brag...but was nice to win again, especially on the 1st time I played more than $5 in a while)
Here was the winning line of another contest I entered.
He would've destroyed us all:

Not on this night. I'd wager we don't see a score below 8 ever again!

Welp, I was wrong.
Am I doing something wrong, or just terribly unlucky? Excluding the time I used Eldrick's lineup, I have 1 winning day total, and two daily scores below 8. Wowza.

Unlucky today anyway.
You picked all the right teams, in terms of high scoring games, you just got the wrong guys on those teams - and that kills a guy at Fanduel (with the minuses). That's what I can't quite figure out at Fanduel - how to protect against the minus, or take advantage of it.

All you can do is guess what teams won't give up a lot of goals.
As bad as Toronto is, there was no way I was taking an Ottawa goalie against them. Though I figured Price would be a little better against Florida. JVR and Dion were on the same theory: Toronto always plays Ottawa hard. Guessed right this time, thankfully.

^Exactly. Matchups are critical.
That's the 'trap' with the Stars/Avs game.
I might have actually guessed 4-3.
As Draftkings (no minuses) one can load up on either/both. At Fanduel you need to pick the right guys, or move along and grab a one sided game.
That said, if a guy actually knew one sided vs close, high scoring... then Vegas is where you belong.

In the name of science I picked the same team for draft king and fan duel just to see where the teams would compare. They value players differently but I got both under their caps with about $500 left in each , they score a bit differently, DK records blocked shots(Kris Russell), no +/-,bonus for hat tricks & shorties. Might be missing couple other differences but got 42.4 pts. from DK and 42.1 pts. from FD. Now this half arsed rag tag team I picked actually paid out on both ( go figure) and the teams I actually sorta researched did horrible. $4.50/DK-$3.00/FD. DK seems a way more professional site, they have depth charts, oot scores etc., FD not so much but it's the wins at the end so who cares what their site looks like. Grats to the winners last night. Also DK doesn't limit you to 4 players from 1 team( seems an odd rule, what does FD care if you load up on a team)

^Draftkings doesn't stop you from having more than 4 players from any single team, but it does make you choose skaters (goaltender does not matter) from at least 3 teams.

My fantasy hockey report - haha
Could have had a really good night, but just meh instead.
$8 spent at Fanduel, won back 9. Played 3, won a $5 50/50.
$37 spent in total at Draftkings, won 67.60
Won all nine games. Six 50/50, three tournament, but just in the money in those 3. Was at about that in the first period of the last game, and my Pens never scored again.
In other fantasy news, I am in the finals of my 12 team Yahoo league (5 keepers). As any who play in similar know: the $1200 winner take all is nice - but it's the bragging rights that count most.
Continued good luck to any who play!

I got my homer rose colored glasses on tonight boys for the NHL Breakaway.
Hiller, Johnny, Mony, Huds.
+ Galchenyuk, Iggy (semi-homer), Stammer, Markov, Petriangelo.
On paper, that is a damn fine looking roster. Let's hope for some big money for daddy tonight

Johnny, Bouma, Huds and Wideman.
Eberle and RNH
Stamkos, Hedman and Bishop
Here's hoping I win my 50/50 so I don't have to add funds.

UTIL Sean Monahan
And then this
C Mikael Backlund
C R. Nugent-Hop...
W Lance Bouma

UTIL G. Landeskog
Also this

Wow... I noticed that and assumed the LA Shore on first glance.
Dang, I'd take Eggs over Shore right now. Good on you Eldrick. Hope you're right and I'm wrong.
Inspired by your player pick.... I present you the homer's hand grenade.
$1 on a 50/50. Betting on secondary scoring and STL to beat Vanc and Chi to beat LA.
Bouma, Ferland, Stajan, Engelland.
Schwartz, Tarasenko, Elliott
Toews, Keith.
$5400 salary remain.
Oddly, I'm mildly optimistic at getting my money back. Even though I probably shouldn't because this may totally back fire and explode my face off

I wonder if I shoulda picked someone else instead of Stammer since they are playing Price. Hmmm, time will tell.
Hopefully Price crumbles like a house of cards
