I hope not. Let the flags/piping run their course during the "rebuilding" years, and in a few years if/when we're back in the hunt, we can start fresh with some new threads.

Can't order anything smaller than a large on the website, and the SportChek in Red Deer only had 1 medium left (all mine!).

Wanted to get a couple, but oh well. Jersey City has them on for $80...not quite the deal, but not a terrible consolation prize.

Had me fooled, always thought the red was different. The 2004 era is still my favorite.

Hmm, they must have gone fast online. I ordered a small just a couple of hours ago, and all I see now is XL.

Sportcheck on 130th had about 20 xl, some large, med, and small. Call and they will hold for 3 days. As an added bonus spend $100, and get a $20 gift card. All other Jerseys are 25% off.

My brother and family are moving to CGY from BC. Got them a him, her and baby set at a great price. Hopefully he leaves the Canuckle stuff behind.

The only time the red is different is when you order a Chinese knock off.

CrossIron had at least 30-40 when I checked at 4, all different sizes, and that place is NEVER busy. (The jerseys aren't with any hockey stuff, they are right at the mall entrance behind some random athletic wear).

I have to say though, I'm also in that 6'3-200lbs range and I rock a medium. Good length, fitted, big enough to throw a big sweater under, long enough to reach out with the sleeve still being at my wrist. You guys who go with the XL+ must be big boys or like looking like a kid rockin' his dad's jersey. Way too baggy!

lol.

But seriously, there are some major issues with the sizing on these. They seem to all have the same sleeve length.

I'm not tall, but fairly large in the shoulders and chest. I normally wear a Large t-shirt, and that is starting to get small on me. The medium jerseys are huge on me, even when I wear a hoodie. It feels as though there's room for full equipment underneath.

I was there this afternoon. Still a lot of jerseys, but they weren't marked down, as far as I could see. Still had $134 price tags and said 25% off (like all other Reebok jerseys).

At the mall entrance to the store, there were a few racks that had $34.99 on the top, despite the tags saying 135.

I wouldn't mind seeing a new third, but I would like (and expect they will) keep the retro jersey in circulation for special events like jersey retirements (or Forever A Flame nights or whatever). The Kings were able to do it with their purple/gold jerseys in years past and I think the Flames would be crazy to abandon that uni altogether.

I definitely agree that the home/road jerseys need an update. I wouldn't mind sticking with a red jersey black C and white jersey red C format but they need to get rid of the piping and flag patches and fix the striping.

Thanks for the help.

Just got back. Had a couple dozen left, all sizes.

I've never been so jacked (the sale) and saddened (what it means) all at once before. So I guess that means I should give up my dream of the white retro's aka best jersey in Flames history, making a return?

With this news, I can't wait to see the new 3rds. My guess is a black C on a black jersey with black outlining. It's gonna look great

Just picked up a large retro at the crossiron sport chek, they had about 20 left in various sizes.

Now who do I put on the back? Considering Sven Brodie Monahan or Janko. Actually a 77 Jankowski seems pretty badass to me.

i just can't do that... for me it has to be a player that actually wore that particular style of jersey

Reebok says Flames are swapping out retro third

This one definitely gets a big question mark from me. According to Reebok's catalog, the Calgary Flames are apparently eyeing a new third jersey for next season.
The logical question you have to ask is, why? Why dump the brightly-colored retro alternate in the first place? Are fans complaining about it? Are they not buying them? Can't imagine either of those are true. Or that a new Flames third jersey would be any color but black. Which will excite almost none of you.
Here's my hope. Maybe the NHL is wising up to the retro trend and allowing teams a "fourth" throwback jersey. That would allow the Flames to keep their 1980s-style red sweater while also experimenting with a new third design. Then maybe they'll add a few "Retro Nights" throughout the season. On those nights, every team that has one gets to break out their throwback.
But that's all just wishful thinking. Would be nice though, right? And for what it's worth, we've had no confirmation yet from the Flames that a new sweater is forthcoming.

I got an XL of the sale price jerseys and I'm 5'10 220 and it fits great! I've seen guys here 6'+ saying they are swimming in this size. All I can say is try it on. I think it's gorgeous and should be a mainstay. But I can see why they would be discontinued on the clothing racks if they are going a different direction. My main concern: no piping please!!!

One happy Flames fan in Lethbridge with his first authentic jersey. Think I'll wait a while to see who to put on the back. Any suggestions where to get this done at a good price? Thanks in advance.
