I'm not trying to start an argument, but there is no way that the red on the discontinued jersey is the same as the regular home jersey.
...yes, I just had my eyes checked.
I'm actually tempted to drop by a Sport Chek tonight and put them side-by-side.

I recall a guy getting banned for being so hostile about holding this argument with me, but I promise you, they are the same red. I have at least one authentic jersey from each era, and same red across all jerseys.

Blew my mind too when someone pointed that out to me. To this day, it still seems unbelievable. Who would have thought stripping contrast can cause such a big change. Basically, by using black stripping and a black logo, it makes it seem a lot deeper red and less orangy.
So with that thought, I really hope they keep the black contrast. The orangy-red just doesn't do it for me. I'm glad that was just a third jersey and not a regular one. I quote Darryl Sutter: "I honor the past, not live in it." That's exactly how I feel about the retro jerseys.

Picked up 2 Large's.
Lots of jerseys left at Crowfoot Plaza Sportchek as of 2pm. No mediums, but 2 XS, couple S, probably 10 L and 5 XL. Saw a couple youth L/XL as well.
XS sizes had the new written out Rebook logo. All the rest had the old picture design logo.

Its in some other thread, maybe that one people put concept jerseys in, but I recall KK saying that they had a plan for new 3rd's this year.
I don't know what would be wrong with just keeping the retro's as the third, or if you need a third, just keep the retros around anyways.
They basically took the best jerseys they have worn in 15 years and threw them in the garbage. Hopefully not for some bland black jersey with red trim and a boring new alt logo.

Sorry if this has been suggested already. Is it possible that the 3rds are discontinued, we get a slightly tweaked classic look for home and away and an all new 3rd Jersey rolled out this fall? It seems like this might be the time for a big marketing push to distract from the lack of wins. If this is the case, please don't screw it up....

The only thing that could excuse getting rid of the retro reds, is to make the retro whites the new 3rds, but that would take common sense this franchise likes flags, piping, and stupid jersey concepts.

I don't think so. I remember they had a black third jersey planned a few years ago, but scrapped it last minute in favor of the retros. I think the only rumor about a new third for this year has come from icethetics and that was just based on the fact that our retro was being discontinued. Don't have a link right now , but I'll find it later tonight.
