Just last week he said we can't and will not restructure Andre Johnson's contract, and shortly after AJ restructured he again claimed he saw that coming. He does this stuff all the time.
I agree that Manning is extremely unlikely, but McClain seriously has no clue.

Still no details on the Moss signing. Beat writers say it is most likely similar to the Edwards contract of last season; play well and you will make money, become a distraction and you will be gone.
The feeling is Harbaugh and Baalke weren't afraid to cut Edwards even though WR was a huge need at the time, they will employ the same thought process with Moss.

Need a much better back up plan though. Hope they learned that from last year. Need depth to overcome injuries/bad signings.

Adam Schefter reports that the Bears could make a high pitch for both Vincent Jackson and Mario Williams by the end of the day, as Lovie Smith and Julius Peppers are headed down to Houston today

For sure. They still have lots of cap space. It seems like Josh Morgan wants to try free agency. Ginn too, but he is pretty much exclusively a KR now so I wouldn't be surprised to see him back. Although Ginn was fairly fragile.
There is still lots of time left, free agency doesn't start for another 150 minutes!
Edit: Moss is reportedly going to get $2.5 million.

The Niners signed Moss to a one-year, $2.5 million contract, with $1.5 million available in incentives, ESPN’s Adam Schefter has reported. There is no word on the specifics of those incentives, or how much guaranteed money, if any, Moss will receive.

And one of the league's best at being able to jump from G to T, very versatile OL.

Alright Broncos fans, what can you tell me about Perrish Cox?
He just signed a 2 year deal with the 49ers.
Edit: great - sounds like a model citizen - well, since the sexual assault acquittal

He must have taken less money to stay with the Saints. I guess he figures he'll stay in a system he knows where he's been very successful, than go elsewhere to get a few more bucks.

On the field....good return guy. Had a pretty good rookie season playing opposite Champ Bailey when Andre Goodman was hurt. He would still be a Bronco had he not had the issue come up. His draft position was a reflection of his off the field issues as well. Probably a first round grade in that draft.

Just need Carl Nicks to sign on now. That would be a huge win this offseason.

I'm happy to have Colston back. Brees loves him, and he's very consistent. I'd much rather they signed Nicks, but it sounds like he's looking for the big payday.

Well Nicks tweeted he was made an offer last night. Said it was respectable and he needs to think on it with his family. Fingers crossed.
