Seeing the lack of order in U.S. political forums lately makes me wonder when it doesn't turn into an all out fight like you see in places like Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, India, Greece, Turkey, Venezuela, Taiwan, etc...
I have to admit, I wouldn't mind seeing some of them end up like this:
Not impossible. There's a number of red seats up this time that based on polling are at risk.
Edit: Here's a segment that talks through it.
Yeah, I think that's a solid breakdown. There were reasons I was skeptical about Biden, but this is definitely something he's great at: he plays well in a lot of states like Iowa and Montana and Georgia that aren't exactly swing states, but where he might be able to help a popular local Democrat over the top. Hell, even somewhere as unlikely as Kansas might be in play.
It's worth also pointing out that 2022 is a really good cycle for the Democrats to defend (no vulnerable races right now, plus potential pickup opportunities in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and North Carolina), so if they have a real breakthrough this year, they'll be set up well for a long time. As well, there's a chance that sometime during a Biden presidency, Washington D.C. statehood would become a priority. (Biden has expressed support for it, but there's a number of roadblocks, most of which could be overcome with enough support in the senate.) So there's incredible long-term stakes in winning control over the senate here.
I am a bit confused with this. I am either ignorant or missing some context. Where was this? Who were the protesters and why would they attack someone taking video?
I am stuck between thinking its an aggressive band of Republican supporters (because the Democrat thing posted above)
or
Just a random group of protesters that got violent with someone taking video.
Can anyone clear this up?

I’d guess that a Hugh percentage of Trump supporters have never left the States and never will. Unfortunately for the others will be impacted by the Europe travel ban.
Would a ban also apply to Trump?
A huge proportion of his supporters have probably not left their state, never mind the States.

State Sen. Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee) told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel that he had been heading to the State Capitol to work late Tuesday when he stopped to snap a photo of the protesters.
“I don’t know what happened … all I did was stop and take a picture … and the next thing I’m getting five-six punches, getting kicked in the head,” said Carpenter, 60.

I just assume it is a case of people not wanting to be filmed for identification purposes. I could just be making an ass out of U and ME though.
Regardless of what side of the table you are on, attacking someone in this situation is unacceptable.

Apparently protestors asked not to be filmed, and also asked Carpenter that directly.
In no way does that excuse the attack, obviously, but that's the cause.
Other protestors stepped in immediately to help him.

Truly the big concern with these polls is complacency. But it's worth remembering Biden doesn't even need to win any of these states. If he wins even just one of them Trump is totally ####ed.

And more importantly is that polling moves relatively in unison so this is 4 independent coin flips. It’s one coin flip that could go either way.
Hillary lost becuase of a consistent 2% polling error. Biden could lose right now with a consistent 5% polling error or shift. As terrible as Trump is nothing is certain.
Pretty unlikley. Basically, if they flip Arizona, and lose Alabama, as is expected will happen, they're at 47 seats. Then you have three "unknowns" - Colorado, Maine and North Carolina. Democrats need to win all 3 toss-ups to get to 50, and also need to defend Michigan, Minnesota and New Mexico. If they don't go 6 for 6, they'll need to somehow flip one or more of Kansas, Georgia or Iowa. And of course, they then need to take the White House to get the tiebreaker.
It's not impossible, but a lot has to fall their way.
I will be shocked if the democrats don't win Colorado by a good margin.
Also add Iowa and Montana to your toss up list. They are up in recent polls in Iowa, Maine, North Carolina. Well within the margin of error, but they've got a better path than you've lined up.

Trump administration asking the Supreme Court to strike down Obamacare in the middle of a pandemic. Seems like he's purposely trying to lose the election at this point. The amount of self-sabotage from this clown show just in the last few weeks is astonishing.
The Trump administration on Thursday night urged the Supreme Court to strike down Obamacare, pushing forward with its attack on the health care law as millions of newly jobless Americans may come to depend on its coverage.
The Justice Department in a new legal brief argues Obamacare in its entirety became invalid when the previous Republican-led Congress axed the unpopular individual mandate penalty for uninsured people. The filing comes weeks after President Donald Trump confirmed his administration would continue to press for Obamacare's elimination, ignoring warnings from top aides about the risk of voter backlash in November.
Quote:
The Trump-backed lawsuit, brought by a group of Republican-led states, puts at risk health insurance for more than 20 million people covered by Obamacare, as well as insurance protections for people with preexisting medical conditions. Biden during a Thursday campaign event attacked Trump for seeking to upend those protections when a growing number of coronavirus survivors are developing potentially long-term health complications.
"They would live their lives caught in a vise between Donald Trump’s twin legacies: his failure to protect the American people from the coronavirus, and his heartless crusade to take health care protections away from American families," Biden said.
