It also shows troop movement from Transdniestria, which I don't think was mentioned anywhere else.

I would agree if it looked like the Russians had any way of heading north but in truth they dont have the logistics, also the Ukrainians even if encircled arent going to surrender and so will still need to be held in place by almost all of the troops for weeks yet until they are starved out and it appears Russia's supplies may not last until then, it might end up being the first case of a besieging army being starved into submission by the supposed besieged

The Russian's have fallen into the same trap here. They didn't understand that the Ukrainian military wasn't going to confront them in piecemeal battles and let themselves get sucked into ambushes and fire sacks.
The Russian General's that were killed were killed due to simple incompetence and over confidence. Making satellite calls in the open, stupid. Staying on the radio too long and letting the enemy pinpoint your command posts, outright rookie mistake.
To be honest and I know I'm going to get #### on here. but young Russian men and generally Ukrainian men woman are children are victims of these field generals. So yeah, I don't mind some general's get snuffed out.
Right now to me the difference in this war is leadership, the Ukrainian's have it the Russian's don't. With the edge in equipment, technology and sheer men and the ability to control the skies, right about now the Russian's should be trampling the last resistance in Ukraine. Instead they are bogged down, out foxed, and have been denied the mobile set piece war that they wanted to fight.
I want to see this thing end, its not going to though.
|
I question the Russians having the edge in technology. To me, other than leadership, that's where the Ukraine is killing it.
Russia seems to be fighting an old school war while the Ukraine is embracing modern military technology to a very effective degree.

The Government of Moldova issued a demand that Russian troops not cycle through Transdniestria, which is a disputed corridor inside of Moldova. I'm not sure if this is an effort to involve Moldova, pure lack of geological awareness on the part of Russian troops, or not giving a #### either way.

Baghdad Bob would be proud of that map.
Meanwhile Russians are fleeing Kherson trying to salvage whatever equipment they have, Ukraine gained back over 100 miles of territory NW of Kherson as Russians fell back.

Ukraine may retake the only city above 200K population that is in Russian hands in the next few days

amazing (and scary) to see what modern warfare looks like, especially used against an army fighting what seems to be with tactics from decades ago.

I still remember the first time I was on a TOW range, that blew my mind.
This stuff pisses all over TOW.
Technology is amazing.

A way to kill tanks, the gunner can "drive" the projectile to the target.
