Pet peeve of mine - Players who play a great match and knock out a guy I'm rooting for and then are forced to retire in their very next match.
Edit: That said, hope Jack is ok, he looks to have a bright future in the game.

2013 Wimbledon Darcis takes out Nadal in the first round then doesn't even play his 2nd round match. Like why

Garcia looked fabulous today. Andreescu fought hard but had no chance, really.

Serena is done.
I was never a fan but her talent and dominance cannot be denied.

Always a Serena fan for crushing Sharapova over and over.

Some interesting matches today - Norrie is currently taking Rune to the woodshed, if Shapo can get Rublev off his game, he has a chance and I have a feeling the crowd could help Denis over the line today.
Charlie versus Brooksby should be fun as well.

I’m not a sentimental fan so personally I’m extremely happy she lost so the circus could pack up and leave the other players get their due spotlight. I though the Serena stuff was way over the top by ESPN. I understand it like I understand RSN continually pumping McDavid but that doesn’t take away that it gets to be too much after a while.

Shapo and Rublev are underway - 2-2 in the opening set. Shapo looks engaged early which is good to see.

That's an important hold by Shapo from love-30 down.

Oh Denis, two double-faults in one game and Rublev breaks to take set 1 6-4. Did Corsi just tune in to watch Denis?

Denis wins a marathon service game and a couple of loud yells.
Edit: And then Shapo breaks the very next game and Rublev is hammering balls into the backboard.

Denis wins set 2 6-2 with an ace. That's the key for Denis, he really upped his first serve percentage in set 2 and the rest of his game followed.

Big game there, down 15-40 and Denis wins four straight points to hold. This wou;d be a prime time to break Rublev.
Edit: No break for Shapo, but this match is heating up as both guys are playing some quality tennis.

Going to a tie-break in set 3. Captain Obvious says this is very important.
Edit: Shapo takes the tie-break 7-3 and leads two sets to one.

Good tiebreak by Shappo. Rublev kind of wilted there.
