The fun part is when the freehub freezes and just spins. Well done, Bigtime. My record was right around that as well.

I couldn't get mine to engage at all about half way to dropping my kids off at school. I had to run with the bike and chariot the rest of the way. I just gave up and took a car today.

Surely no one can be crazy enough to ride this morning?! It is slightly worse than yesterday.

I did, while not colder the conditions were worse. No pathways cleared yet so starting to get that drifty snow that loves to grab tires and increases resistance. North wind sucked as I head north on Nose creek.

Starting to feel the energy drain on this third day of riding in conditions like this, going to power through though.

Heat Exchanger mask. Warms the air coming in and increases humidity to protect the lungs from the cold air conditions. Total game changer for my winter commuting, as it also eliminated the problem of my goggles fogging in these conditions, as that would happen before when I'd put my balaclava fully up.

I'll usually start wearing it around -15 temperatures.

You can get it on Amazon. https://a.co/d/8AguEms

When you get to work do you stand in front of a open freezer door to warm up?

Bought one of these to give it a try in -20, don’t trust my bike at -30

Doing a couple shorter days at work this week, some of the paths were pure ice today, need it to warm up and get ride of that layer of frozen rain or snow and cover it up

I'll have my final ride of 2022 this afternoon on my commute home. Will probably finish up at ~5910km on my "acoustic" bikes and an additional 257km on the e-bike.
