If the rumours are true, both teams made out pretty great. The Astros get a competent starter, an MLB-ready reliever, and a potential franchise 1st baseman. Guess we'll see what the official details are tomorrow.

It is a done deal.

Just one win shy of the Astros' franchise win record, Roy Oswalt is leaving the only team he's ever known. The 32-year-old righty approved a trade to the Phillies, who sent J.A. Happ and low minors prospects Anthony Gose and Jonathan Villar to Houston for Oswalt and $11MM. The Phillies will not pick up Oswalt's 2012 option, but will add $1MM to the buyout as compensation.

This was from last week. Crazy Dodgers-Giants game where half the Dodgers coaching staff got ejected making Don Mattingly the hitting coach as the acting manager.
As Broxton is in trouble and loads the bases, Mattingly feels the need to talk to the entire infield and here's what happens.

Vin Scully and Jon Miller, two classic broadcasters describes the proceedings.

Anthony Gose has been flipped to Toronto for a Player to be named later. I think it`s Litsch going the other way.

Any rumours on who they are trading away?

It's been announced: Mark Melancon and Jimmy Paredes.
Melancon is a potential middle reliever, but nothing more. He's had control issues all year and couldn't crack the Yankees bullpen.
Parades is a 21-year old 2nd baseman who can play 3B/SS. He has speed (27 net stolen bases), but he is a poor hitter overall. Likely projection is utility man.
All this and Astros are paying Berkman's 2010 contract, and likely the Yankees will have an extremely effective DH for 2011 (option).

Jake Westbrook scratched from his start against the Jays, Will definitely be traded.
Who wants him?

St.Louis gets him in a 3 team trade. Ryan Ludwick goes to San Diego for a prospect.

Yeah this A-Fraud thing is getting ridiculous. At this rate he is NOT going to break Barry Bond's 752.
I'm not sure he'll ever hit 30 homers in a season again.
