Jayems, I sent an email to Carrie at Cal-crests, explaining that you'll be the one authorized to pick up the jerseys, and that you'll be there sometime on Wednesday. Like I said earlier in the thread, I'm asking her to ask for your ID.
I know it sounds a little over the top, but with so many posters and non posters viewing CP, it isn't that far-fetched for someone to be following this thread and then see an opportunity tomorow to go down there and casually ask for the jerseys. Especially since the person would have alot of ammo from this thread to sound legit "Hi, I'm from the Puckers, our GM said he picked up the whites yesterday and paid the full invoice, but couldn't make it down for the reds today, so he sent me"
Also in te e-mail I asked if the spare namebars would be with the red jerseys.

I just thought of an epic idea. The Saddledome is pretty expensive to rent ,but it is rentable. So what we should do is give them a call and see what the availiblity is like. If there's a time that is reasonable for everyone to make it out, we book it. Then we find the HNA game that is closest to the Dome ice time. We contact the league administrator and the GM of the opposing team, and we propose that we reschedule our game to the Dome ice time.
Then we make sure that we have a good cameraman, we go to a place where you rent highend video camera's (like the one's tv stations use, prefferably HD) rent the best one in our price range, and then get permission from the Dome for our cameraman to use the the camera bay at the base of the 200's.
Next, we bring out EVERY possible person we can find to the game, and that includes as many people from Calgarypuck as possible. Now who would come out to the Dome to watch a rec hockey team play? Not many people. Who would come out to watch a rec hockey team play if we charged them to be there? Even less people. But that's exactly what I intend to do, but hear me out.
We charge people an admission ticket (there will only be one door open to get into the Dome, and we'll have two people standing there handing out numbered tickets). So let's say the ticket is $5, and we get 200 people to come out (You're saying to yourself 'self, why would 200 people come out to a rec hockey game where they're being charged $5 to be there?'), that means we have $1000 from these people. Then we buy let's say 3 prizes, a first prize worth about $600, and 2nd and 3rd prizes worth about $200 each. Now people are enticed because there's only 200 people in the Dome, and they're staring at $1000 worth of prizes that could easily be there's. So we just have one of those big dealies that shuffles all the tickets when you spin it, and we pull three numbers out at the conclusion of the game. (Whoever is drawing the tickets will have to yell REALLY loud, as we likely won't have use of the PA)
Then what we're left with is a great experience and game that will be fun to watch at home, with the crowd and all.

TBQH, not a fan of playing at the dome, they don't turn on all the lights so it's kind dark. They also confine spectators to the lower bowl, and i would doubt they would want anyone in the camera bay lest someone fall out of it. Further more even 1000 people in the lower bowl would look positively empty anyways

See this is why I try not to come up with ideas when I'm drunk, they sound so much better after a few beers. However I still think we should try and play a game there. We'll just throw cash at them to turn on the lights and energy board.

How much extra money do you guys have? At last check, the dome was at least $400/hour last time we did Faking the Cut. I highly doubt they'd turn everything on for that price.

My vote is definitely a party bus. We can all meet up earlier in the evening at a pub somewhere, get picked up, then dropped off after the game. It'd be a guaranteed loss + multiple fights, but a good time nonetheless. Those who don't want in can get their share of the $$ back.

This is the song I was talking about. So when the synth intro is playing, you could be showing the dressing room and players picking up their sticks, kind of in slow motion or something, and then when the piano comes in you would show the dressing room door closed from the ice, then the door opens, and the team hits the ice as the drums come in.

I hate you guys. All this partying, sweet jerseys...and I couldn't take part because I'm too young. Damn discrimination!

Damn those jerseys may be the best beer league jerseys ever. Those are amazing. And that logo is so kick-ass.
