We are going to get shut out, aren't we? This is almost as bad as the Columbus game when everyone got wasted at the Gaudreau house.

Flames need to start building towards speed. Way overdue for that. One of the slowest teams in the league.

and Lucic does not need to be playing every night.

Admittedly I'm not a goaltending coach or expert but I'd like my goalie to be at the top of his crease here an attacking the shooting thats winding up, instead of having a foot still on the goalline / post. Also dont think he really get's square here on what was a pass the Flames deflected on a bit of a broken play.

Tanev does collapse way too low into the crease for sure which is an issue.

And now then the puck goes in.

Still deep in his net with a pad on the post. Makes himself very, very small in his butterfly, and I dont think he ever got square to where the shot came from (although that could be on Tanev collapsing too low).

In the end it's the same issues that have plagued him all season on these medium danger shots from the tops of the circles.

Too deep in his net, makes himself small, and not square.
Yes, you are not a goalie coach. They simply don’t teach (a) standup and (b) playing way out (not that he can get there on that play). He just didn’t see the puck on that play. Because there were 3 Flames in front of him plus Avs. He had a way better chance on the first goal.

Sutter should call a timeout, say nothing and walk down the tunnel. Then come back in full gear.

It's funny when other teams get mad the Flames are getting a pp. If only they knew.

I’m tired of Andersson and Hanafin as well. Would move them both.

It would be sweet to get some high calibre players ourselves for a change. Unfortunately, I don’t think ownership will allow the team to get into a position where that becomes more likely. As it is, the team has to make an incredible draft pick to get such a player.

Flames don't look great against quick teams, and Sutter's man to man system is part of that. Has them chasing a bit too much.

But honestly goaltending and finishing remains the biggest issue.

Shots: 16-12 Flames
Scoring Chances: 19-15 Flames
High Danger: 10-8 Flames
xGF: 1.65 - 1.64 Flames
Goals: 3-0 Avs

As has been the case much of this year, the Flames inability to finish, and their inabiltiy to get a save skews what is actually happening.

If 21-22 Markstrom is playing tonight it's at worst a 1-0 Avs lead right now IMO. Might be 0-0.

If not Markstrom in the net, Flames trailing 0-12 already. Thanks god, we have legit starter. Dreams come true, thanks Wizard.

Folks, this is why you can't drop points aginst the Hawks, Sens, & Flyers.

You're not going to be able to make up the points against the Colorados of the world.

Highlight of the game is the COL sound effect when they kill a penalty.
