One thing that has been missed in the discussion of the games is that Anaheim had been out shot blocking Calgary. That shouldn't happen if they aren't outshooting the opposition. Credit Anaheim because they'd found a way to get the shots through clean. Calgary still hasn't found that it yet, but it seems to be coming. The shell that forms around the Anaheim net should allow Calgary to pass it around a bit, but as they've some all year, they try to score off the rush. A little more effort on cycling the puck just may help the flames

This is a very good point, I recall earlier in the year opposition fans would lament the fact that the Flames block a ton of shots but its absolutely crazy how many shots Anaheim blocks. Those guys are stepping in front of everything!

And I'm not talking about half-assed Diaz or Schlemko slappers from the point I'm talking the Brodie or Wideman seeing-eye shots.

I was getting incredibly frustrated last night seeing shots go into shinpads or get deflected at the end, etc. It was unbelievable.

With three games left in the series, three days off, I think I will head over to Toronto and punch out anyone in the war room. Even if they get me on camera no way they conclusive prove it was me.

Inconclusive? WTF

A curiosity more than anything, but does anyone know what the 50/50 was yesterday? Was thinking close to another record based on the two Vancouver games.

It was the lowest of the playoffs so far (but still higher than any regular season game): $105,095.

They did hand out the thundersticks each home game in round one. It really was dependent on the usher. The also have been handing out the roster sheet/posters.

Brodie had 9 shot attempts last night. 7 were blocked and 2 missed the net.

5. Game 6 vs San Jose - 2004 (3-1 win).
6. Game 4 vs Chicago- 2009 (6-4 win, Jokinen's 2 goals before Chicago scored 3 straight to tie. Nystrom with the winner).

Honourable Mention:
Game 6 vs Vancouver - 2004 (5-4 OT loss, despite being down 4-0).
That's a pretty awesome list -- well done!

Although I have to admit, I'm a little bummed/jealous because I gave my ticket to Game 3 to a friend... not that I didn't want to go, and not that I'm upset that he had an amazing time, but it would have been phenomenal to experience it live.

To add insult to injury, the meeting that caused me to give up the ticket was cancelled at the last minute, although I guess the silver lining is that I got to watch the game on TV...

First, and most importantly, Thor my condolences. My thoughts and prayers are with you, if there's anything you need from this crazy corner of the world (Nova Scotia) let me know and I'll send it your way, just say the word.

Secondly, I can never get sick of watching the C of Red go nuts after a goal int eh playoffs. There's something magical about seeing 19,289 people all dressed in red, go bananas in the same moment. It's just something to watch.

Metallica, Megadeth, Tool and Van Halen play there. Those bands can be literally deafening. Bad engineering if it can't withstand 120ish decibels.

Also the random rap music that isn't a reference or anything.

If you always post something in these threads and nobody ever likes it, maybe stop.
They're just random tunes that I post after wins. I figured the fellow hip hop fans on here would appreciate them. I'll stop posting them if it bothers everyone so much.
