It may not be fair but that is how the NBA goes and Lowry constantly "showing then up" likely leads to more calls for the Nets.

Raps vs Refs + Nets
We all know that the "Legends" of the Nets are going to get every call they want. It's not even Lowry anymore, this one goes on the NBA wanting the Net's to play the Heat.

I wouldn't go that far.
I saw Paul Pierce take a lot of open shots and that wasn't the refs fault.
I think Pierce and Garnett get the benefit of the doubt, but the refs did not decide the outcome of that game.

I get what you're saying, but not getting any calls has more effect on the game than strictly just the score. Granted a few players stank on the Raptors, the refs not calling the game fairly played a huge role. The NBA is ridiculous in that manner. While it's not a conspiracy to me, is strictly giving the veteran team the benefit when there's no need for that. Dumb fn culture they've developed.

The Raps played to worst possible game and probably deserved to lose, but the refs definitely had an impact in the game.
From the beginning of the game they took out Toronto's best defender with Terrance Ross on two mediocre calls. This forced Salmons in the game and Salmons sucks.
They didn't bother calling a foul on the Raps in the fourth. Letting Garnett bully Val. He pushed Val out of bounds on one play they scored on the inbound and one of Val's basket's was supposed to be an and one. Small 3 point swing down the the stretch.
Heck the Raptors got called for boxing out. Boxing out for goodness sake.
DeRozan felt the physical presence of the Nets, something that I don't think Johnson, Pierce, or D Will felt just because the Raps couldn't get into their faces knowing that they would get called for a foul.
The Net's have a bunch of former All-Stars and with that they'll get a bunch of "All-Star" fouls.

How come suddenly we've been getting some unprofessional in Pro sports these days? Purposedly losing games so they can play against team they think can beat in the playoff or just get better in draft position really make me questions why are we fans are paying big money to watch their game. I hope karma bite them in their a8$.

Trying to take heart in the fact that the Nets didn't win by an awful lot, especially when you consider how poorly the Raptors played through much of the game. It's disappointing but not terribly surprising given their lack of playoff experience. I'm sure they'll get it turned around for game 2. This should be a fantastic series.

The Raptors forum I use is:

It's not the highest-volume board, but there's a pretty good level of discussion overall.

Raptors had better pick it up - Nets had a horrid night from downtown, and if their outside shooters start to click, that's another area to contain.
I think they need to utilize Landry Fields, he is the only guy on that roster I see with a shot at stifling Joe Johnson. Lowry is also great at taking charges, which he will need to keep doing, even if Deron gets more than his fair share of BS calls his way, as if Deron is allowed to penetrate the lane, makes the Nets a whole lot more threatening

Wow, way to go Raps! Almost played yourself out of the game in the first 5 minutes. Pretty impressive to be that bad.

Yeah, when he's on the floor there's zero reason not to run the offence through him.

Much better defensive effort so far tonight. Must maintain it too because the perimeter offense is non-existent right now.

This game could be a total laugher right now if they could get anything going on offense. Defense is tip top tonight.

Should be a 15 point game right now. That it's only 6 is somewhat worrisome. Raptors have played better than Game 1 but they still need to kick it up another notch or two if they intend on winning this series. I don't think they've played a complete quarter yet.
