I'am at work so I can't see what that is....but with Murs having quit the group and Grouch on hiatus how good could anything they put out now be? I like Eligh and Sunspot but Murs and Grouch make LL, without them I'am not too interested.
Definatley looking forward to the new Murs and 9th album though, love that duo.
agreed with Murs and Grouch being the highlights there.
Tons of memories to Murs Rule the World.
Zion I and The Grouch - Heroes in the City of Dope had some solid songs, introduced me to Zion I for some different stuff to enjoy like Coastin'.

Zion I is friggen ridiculously good, Zumbi is definitely one of my all time fav MC's! And funny you mention them as they just put out out a new album, Shadowboxing and I hear it's really good (downloading it now, should be able to comment soon).

Also, for those interested, the K'naan album has been leaked online. With that said I suggest you buy it if you like him, support a solid Canadian rapper.

Holy how did I find out about this thread now! This is definitely my favourite thread during the lockout!
Don't know if i'm late to the party, but Kendrick Lamar's new album "Good Kid M.A.A.D. City" is really good!
Also, the new Macklemore album "The Heist" is smoking hot!
Edit: Oh yah, heard about this singer/rapper Ryan Leslie and i've been bumpin some of his old stuff too. The guy scored perfect on his SAT's and graduated from Harvard with a Degree in government, majoring in macro-economics and political science I believe.
He's educated and doesn't flow like a child from the show Rugrats ...erm cough cough ....2chainz ......

Has anybody heard the K.O.N.Y. mixtape from Smoke Dza? It came out a couple of weeks ago but I just got around to hearing it yesterday. Pretty good stuff. Production from Ski Beatz, Harry Fraud and a couple unknown guys too.
I'm just about finished listening to Kendrick Lamar's new album, Good Kid, M.A.A.D City. I hate to say it is going to be an instant classic, but damn this album is fantastic.
IMO if you have not listened to this album you are missing out on something fantastic.

Been listening to it for a couple days... I think I like Section.80 better slightly.. but this album is growing on me.

I really like it. I think it's too early to call it a classic. To me a classic has replay value years later so I gotta see how this album will age. Regardless it is a really good album and definitely worth listening to. He kind of reminds me of Outkast if Outkast was one guy. He has the street-savvy of Big Boi and the "try different stuff" approach of Andre 3000 all in one.
This guy uploads old Hip Hop radio from WBLS and other stations. He has Mr. Magic, DJ Red Alert, Marley Marl, and others. He ripped all of these to digital audio from tapes he made back in the day.
Unbelievable. I'm in heaven listening to this right now.

I downloaded the Slacker Radio app for my phone and regularly listen to the 90s Hip Hop channel and am in heaven as well. Heard so many tracks I loved back in the day, and turns out I still do to this day.
Been bumpin the Action Bronson album pretty heavy along with Roc Marciano's "Reloaded". If you like classic soul loops and the gritty NYC rapstyle, you'll love Reloaded.

There are very very few new school rappers I actually enjoy, so I'll take your word for it. You're description of Reloaded sounds pretty good.
I've been listening to Mos Def and Talib Kweli's Black Star album non stop over the last few days. What a classic CD. I really hope they make a new one eventually.
