Nice selections. I always feel like EPMD is kinda underrated as far as golden era groups. I mean they get their props but when people name groups from that time period it's usually Tribe, De La Soul, Run DMC etc.
Mecca and the Soul Brother album by Pete Rock and CL is classic material. T.R.O.Y is probably my favorite song off there and probably my fav Pete Rock and CL joint of all time.
Can't go wrong with some slick rick ever. All his albums are good.
Agreed re: EPMD. They never get held in the same esteem as other groups you mentioned, but they should get more respect than they do.
I have to say hip hop has been doing really well over the last bit. Nas, Xzibit, Kendrick Lamar, Lupe and Kid Cudi all dropping new albums this year. If only Dre would actually finish Detox.
The west coast one with Snoop, Kendrick Lamar, Xzibit and E40 (who went off) was easily the best one as a whole IMO.... everything else was mediocre with some exceptions (Talib Kweli, Childish Gambino and surprisingly enough T.I. were highlights I thought).
Nothing nearly as good as the Slaughterhouse/Eminem one from last year.

I'am at work so I can't see what that is....but with Murs having quit the group and Grouch on hiatus how good could anything they put out now be? I like Eligh and Sunspot but Murs and Grouch make LL, without them I'am not too interested.
Definatley looking forward to the new Murs and 9th album though, love that duo.

Also, new K'naan on Tuesday - should be good. And new K-os in November, that should be utterly amazing.
