It's also a good way to cause road rage. Not something I would ever do.

You must not have got the memo. There is no room for finger waggers, snitches, tattle tails, rats or any facsimile thereof allowed on CP.

I certainly hope you called the cops and reported him as a drunk driver.

You tap your breaks so your brake lights go on. You don't actually slow down.

But when I go 68 in a construction zone that's 60... in the right lane down stoney trail I shouldn't be subjected to someone flooding me with their high beams 5 feet behind my car. What the hell? Then, when i take the off ramp at the Scenic acres turn off (speed limit is 40 and its a sharp off ramp) I do 45 and this new jagoff goes maybe 4 feet off my bumper before slamming his brakes, and does so again at the red light.
What the hell??? I get that speeding is a great way to get places faster but don't make people's lives miserable if they aren't accommodating in your selfish driving needs.

Be very careful in this situation, it could be Eric Estrada in that car behind you!

Yesterday there were cops at the bottom of Stoney in the construction zone...but I was doing about 78 in the 60 and they let me go by...so maybe the limit has been bumped up to 80 since there were no workers in sight? Or, more likely, they were just looking for people going 20+km over.
Whoever that jackoff was, I would have purposely gone down to the limit exactly and kept braking.
I'm a horrible speeder but I don't get pissed with people who are doing the limit...as long as its not in the left lane. Unless they are Asian and can't see over the steering wheel...then it's warranted.

As I understand it (maybe I'm wrong) in the City the slower traffic keep right rule does not apply. That is only on highways.

To me it is an unspoken rule for any road with two or more lanes.

I consider Stoney trail a 2 lane highway within the city, like Crowchild

Anyone raging against a fellow driver obeying the speed limit and otherwise following the rules of the road has got bigger issues.
Serious.
There's already enough distractions, hazards and legitimately poor driving out there.
If you're blowing your cool on a regular basis, do society a favor and surrender your license.

Exactly. It may not be the law within city limits, but staying right (except when passing, or preparing to turn left) is the courteous thing to do.

Of course, all bad drivers should be reported whenever possible. Hotheads are every bit the traffic safety menace.
When you get behind the wheel, you have to put that bad day at the office or the spat with the spouse on hold, and consider the safety not only of yourself and your passengers, but others as well.
It's not really that hard to obey the speed limit, the speedometer is right smack-dab in front of you. It's a willful act not to respect it. It's not other drivers' fault you are in a hurry.

90% of the times that I want another driver to die a slow, painful death is not because I'm in a hurry and trying to speed and being stymied by another driver. It's because I just want to go about my business, but I get stuck behind some butthead that woke up too early and is still sleeping.
Airheads going 10 under the limit are the real cause of road rage. No kidding. Just because you're not on any kind of schedule doesn't mean you can make me late when I left at the right time.

Luckily there are bylaws that also address that issue.
Losing your cool over it isn't doing you or anyone else a favor.

What if the government isn't getting all the people breaking the slow driving laws? Should I report people that I suspect are driving too slow?
