if you are uofc alumni, your first fitness membership is 50% off, which comes to around $220 a year. Plus you can purchase an annual parking pass at lot 10 or 11 starting at $60 a year (lot 10). the parking pass only works after 3pm on weekdays, or else you can get a different parking option where it is only valid before 8am or something.
Mount Royal's gym is one of the best in the city, very up to date, tons of equipment and lots of space. Also, as previously mentioned, hot college girls...who are in shape, which escalates hotness.

No way could I handle that. I'd either be in jail or divorced from the wife.

I did look at that place and it's pretty sweet, too bad it's at the other side of the city from me. I am looking forward to the new sports complex being finished at COP, but until then I'll check other opportunities.
Thanks
I saw the blueprints to that place last week...Four rinks, full heath club, very sweet indeed.
Gold's in Mackenzie.
Some of the cardio equipment keeps having trouble with its T.V.'s. The pool is always going under maintenance.
But they have a good range of equipment and I rarely have wait.
I don't care about the cost as the company pays for it.
I've heard that place is roughly $55 or so a month? Not too bad. I've been a few times and it's big, lots of equipment and has a pool, hot tub, dry sauna and steam room. If it were a little closer to home I'd go there.
Mount Royal University is fantastic. It's huge, clean and up to date. Parking is $10 a month.
I miss that gym. If I was still living in Calgary I'd totally have a membership there. Outstanding facilities, and yes its massive, you never feel cramped. And the pool's the best pool I've ever swam in, perfect water temp(though I haven't been there since '04 so it may have changed)
I've been going to Club Fit here in North Edmonton on & off for 4 years, great place. Big, open 24hrs & tons of top of the line equipment. Though World just bought it out a couple months back, reduced the hours & increased the rates. Makes sense.
I work out at home also, have a few free weights and a treadmill which work well with a standard jailhouse routine.
Figure it's a good idea to eliminate any excuse not to work out, sometimes during the winter when the roads are bad I can imagine it's easy to talk yourself out of it.
