Which guy? This is what you call a BAND. These people work together and play instruments.
I understand the singing isn't everyone's cup of tea but your Jay Zed and Pacman whatever homies couldn't play like these guys in their wet gangsta dreams.
I am so damn sick and tired of all these vain hiphop dj trends/fashions/sounds being accepted as "music."
Everyone do yourselves a favor and listen to Devin Townsend...a true Canadian music icon. (His solo material is amazing and for those who like it a little heavier, check out his band Strapping Young Lad)
lol he didn't do all that great during the part that I attempted at singing... Maybe I just picked a hard song :P
Just kidding, I'm terrible but that was kind've the point!
Just so you guys realize, if your favorite artist has released a record in the last 15 years, chances are they used autotune or an equivalent to at least touch up their pitch. Unless the vocals don't have melodies.
It's a staple in the recording industry. Tim McGraw to Cher to Madonna... all have admitted to Autotuning
I doubt Jay Sean can. Down sounds heavily autotuned.
The worst sans autotune is all of the Black Eyed Peas. They're absolutely horrible.
Goddammit I must have been really drunk for the first half of the U2 concert. BEP's opened and I thought they sounded good. Put on a fun show at least.

Another thing I don't get in that performance is that they have a live band but are playing to a backtrack with David Guetta "dj'ing" behind them.... which one is it?
Yup. Tupac, Eminem, Biggie, JayZ... They're all talentless hacks!!!

These people may not be talentless, but their music usually results in the radio being turned off...I guess you made your "point".
I wonder if there's an age-gap in your taste and mine? I'm 31, and decide what I listen to, as I live alone. I don't put up with commercial radio, just because my teenybopper friends/clearchannel/grammys tell me that the sounds are acceptable.
Haha the engineer producing our next album has AT plugged into his Protools rig, makes for some hilarious gayfish moments after a vocal recording session.
To those who are freaking out over the proliferation of AT in mainstream culture, it's whats popular, which is never very good anyhow. Getting your knickers in a twist over something that wont be popular (or likely, will be used more sparingly like it was 10 years ago) in another 10 years is kind of silly.

What's next Moulder? Nicklback????

lol I listen to stuff that the vast majority of people in North America have never heard of, like or respect...
Location: Oklahoma - Where they call a puck a ball...
Exp:
not all Pop singers are horrible. I actually like Craig David. And he is actually a great singer live. He does a lot of stuff acoustically with just his guitar player and himself.
