Muse
Crazyweed (in Canmore, but as mentioned above, it's worth the drive)
Globefish
Wildwood for beer and pub food
Shawarma Knight on 14th St. for a fast takeout lunch
River Café is really over-rated, IMO. The food and service isn't bad by any means, but it's not amazing either. You pay a huge price premium solely because of the awesome location.

Open Sesame - I always get great service there and the Asian fusion menu is rather delightful.

I really like Open Sesame, too. Simple, cheap, tasty.

Let's not forget Salt & Pepper for the best Mexican in the city. It's a Calgary establishment to boot.

By far the best Viet IMO. Owners are super nice, too.
Not a fan of Kinjo at all. Really expensive for average quality. I guess I did the boat and was with a group of friends.

Really? I haven't been to Pho So in awhile, might have to try it again.
I always go to the Pho place across from T&T in the NE, where Tigers used to be.
Zipang for me for sushi.
Muse is very good as well, Rouge is better but super pricey.

I'll have to disagree on Salt & Pepper, and say that Mi Tierra Tacqueria in Oakridge has got it beat.
Never been to Pho So, but I'll try it now.
Brewster's does have incredible wings.

I was there about a year ago .... had live piano, definitely a middle-aged crowd (OK with me), food and service was excellent. Price range like Muse.
I like Rouge in Inglewood .... Belvedere as well.
Have to disagree about The River Cafe ... never been disappointed.

It's OK. I think it was a little better when it first opened. Probably a bit expensive too, but since there is a dearth of decent restaurants in the vicinity, they can charge what they like.
