funny..tonight i made awesome ribs..and i brought them down to buzzard and he said 'i was just reading about ribs on cp!'...they were amazing..and so easy..i will tell u how i made them..anyone can do it..2 simple steps...
cut up ribs (i use spareribs not backribs for this recipe)
throw them in a dutch oven..pour 2 cans of coke over them and 2 cups of water..bake at 425 for 3 hours..put them on a pan and cover them in bbq sauce (i use the cowboy brand) and bake for 30 mins at 350...they were the best ribs i ever made!
Another awesome recipe but a bit more work:
in a blender put 2 chopped up onions..some garlic, oregano, red wine vinegar, lemon juice..mush it up in blender. Put your raw cut up ribs in a large freezer bag and pour the mush over it..seal and put in fridge overnight..bbq on low for 1 1/2 hours..i call them dry greek ribs you can use spareribs but i like back ribs for these

I've had excellent ribs at Original Joes, and some mediocre ones - Seems like it is very hit or miss.

I used to work at Red Devil and we made awesome ribs. When we pulled them out of the smoker... oh man, that applewood smoke was the best.

Agreed. These are the best. I'd rather have Earl's ribs than Palomino ribs any day.
I liked ribs that are boiled first much more than smoked ones. Way less tough.

You can also do them in your oven. You wont get all that smoke flavor but if you want some, put them on the barbecue for the last 20 minutes or so.

It's been a while since I had them, but Saltlik has jalapeno ribs that are beyond awesome.

Hmmm what if you boiled them THEN hit em with some wood smoke action? Would that be the world's best ribs? Anyone tried this?

Looks like my wife and I will have to try out Palominos some night. Up until this thread I'd never heard of the place. Thanks.

Can't believe it took until the 2nd page for Earls to come up. You can do no wrong by ordering them.

What the hell happened to that place? LOVED it! They had some amazing pasta and the one day, poof! Gone! Good ol Canadian place to if I'm not mistaken. Was it because they started to mess around with a successful menu?

I don't think hitting the ribs with smoke after boiling the piss out of them would do much. Just stick to smoking over low heat if you can - you don't need a smoker, I do it on a gas grill. After a few hours the ribs will be super tender and actually taste good.

I liked the Red Devil too.... particularly their music.
I was disappointed when they closed.... and then Tony Roma's showed up in their place ... ughh.

Don't mess around with the boiling talk. You smoke them for 3 hours or so-low heat then you wrap them up in tin foil with sauce on em and cook them for another 30-45 minutes.

You're better off going to Scores or Baton Rouge but the western folk don't have access to those places.

I was never really that big on Baton Rouge, to be honest. But then again, I never had their ribs, so maybe the next time my friends force me in there, I'll give it a go. Thanks.
