It's funny because I would say they are far more relevant than any other hard rock/metal acts that were also popular during the mid to late 90s.
RHCP suck now, KoRn has fallen off the map, Metallica sucks, all of the grunge bands are gone, Limp Bizkit is gone, the Smashing Pumpkins are gone. Green day sold out and now blow pretty big chunks, the Offspring are gone. Hell even the bands like STP, Guns n Roses and Chris Cornell have not been able to capture past glory.
Only Tool and NIN are still relevant and making good music out of almost any band I can think of that was popular during that time period.

Very relevant and Year Zero proved that. A departure from his introspective poetry that was starting to get stale and finally turned the lens outward in developing a concept album that spoke politically and artisitcally.
I saw the show on the last tour. One of my last favorite bands I had yet still needed to see live. A great performance.
I imagine the stage show for this concert might tie in with some of the Year Zero themes. Could be very very cool.

I, for one, am pumped. Last time they came I had some weird throat infection and thus I decided not to spread the plague, and gave my tickets away, but I don't care if I have to go on the bleeding stumps of my severed legs this time, I am THERE!

Yep, the last concert was great. I am biased, of course, being a huge fan and all but a lot of people who weren't familiar with anything besides the singles came away very very impressed with the show and the band. NIN is definitely one of those bands who is better sounding live than studio.

Good show, I will agree, QOTSA weren't that great that show, an off night perhaps. I'm really looking forward to the Oasis show this summer also.

I got chills down my spine when the whole audience sang along to 'Hurt'. It was a beautiful moment.
Anyone know when tickets go on sale? Not for a little while I hope, kinda short on funds for the next few weeks.

By the time "Hurt" rolled around I lost my buddies I was with and was quite hammed and in a bit of a "cloud", the lighters tripped me right out, sang my ass off, lol.

Well if you're gonna call Green Day sell outs they've been sell outs since 1994. It's not a new revelation that Green Day makes music teenagers like.
So because an artist sells millions of records (Green Day, Chili Peppers) they lose all credibility?
