Thanks for that, 4x4 and calgaryborn. CP needs more 'making fun of stupid idiots who belive in stupid stuff and need to be informed otherwise by much much smarter people.'
I don't mean to start some kind of lame flame war, but this WAS a lighthearted fun start to a thread.

Isn't that how all our religious debates originate?

No, some of them are actually designed to start debate about some particular matter, whereas I honestly see this as a lightearted attempt to make people laugh. It didn't have to devolve into what he started and you continued. That's all!

Your full of it! The intent of the owner of the piece of toast was to make fun of those poor superstitious Catholic folk who believed that Mary or Christ actually appeared in a cheese grilled sandwich. The intent of Cheese was the same. It is a preoccupation with Atheists to attack the Christian religion. A look at the history of Cheese's posts will confirm that. It is also common for them to take the actions of a few misguided Christians and
attempt to paint the whole billion plus Christians with that brush. I'm not Catholic but, I wouldn't attempt to make fun at all catholics because of a few folks within their organization are superstitious.
It takes faith to believe that there is a Creator who transcends time and space and is responsible for all we can see. It takes more faith to believe that energy/matter came together from nothing and exploded to create a complex universe capable of producing life that by accident became increasingly complex, diverse, and interdependent.
I find it remarkable that the second belief masquerades as science.

And you are using that same brush to paint all atheists in the same light based on the actions of one.

There is evidence for the big bang, so no it doesn't take more faith. Faith is the absence of evidence. There is zero scientific evidence for a creator, making it COMPLETELY a matter of faith.

Really, calgaryborn? I mean, I believe Cheese and some of the others go out of their way to antagonize 'believers' now and then ... but what he posted, in and of itself, is funny and lighthearted! It's not making fun of the act of belief ... it's making fun of people finding a picture of Jesus in a grilled cheese sandwich and making it a shrine or something! Come on, we have to be able to laugh at ourselves now and then!
EDIT: See?

Yes I did and my generalization might be wrong outside of this board but, not on here. By looking at this thread or by examining the myriad of other like threads it is plan to see the hostility towards the Christian religion and Christian people. Cheese is just one of a crowd.

Your so called evidence for the big bang is no more compelling than my evidence for a Creator. Moreover, it doesn't address where this energy/matter came from. That's a bigger miracle than a outline of a face appearing on a cheese grilled sandwich.
