wow have the animations ever improved. the game is buttery smooth, and FINALLY a hockey game that plays like REAL hockey. me and some friends were playing the demo and every goal we scored we yelled "i've seen that exact goal in real life!". cycling works beautifully and you can setup some magnificent plays now. man i can't wait until the full game

don't know if anyone mentioned it yet but the skating engine is so good now. Smooth skating/animation, variable speed, so fun! Also glad the defensemen at the point are actually useful now and creating passing plays actually works now. Also glad they toned down the stupid goals from 07 (where u shoot anywhere and it'll bounce over the goalie or just trickle it on the goalie will slide around and kick it in).

Wow, what an improvement. I have played this demo for a few hours now, and not even 1 lame "the goalie bobbles the puck for 10 seconds" goal. I am going to preorder this weekend!

I had the lame shot from the point gets blocked and the goalie doesn't even look up and the puck floats over his head and in the net.

i have been impressed so far with this iteration of ea 360 games. so far.
hopefully, they haven't screwed up with burnout paradise.

just finished playing a couple games. it's so smooth now, and i like the nice touch with the d-men skating sideways with the puck near the blue line.

I have my friends 360, I think he has Live, is it saved on his xbox? If i plug in my internet can I get on and how can I download the demo?

He'll need a harddrive on the xbox (99% have it). Don't think he even needs a Live Gold account. Just go over to the marketplace blade, demos, recent demos and u'll find it there.

I'm trying to download this thing, but it is beyond painfully slow. Is that the way it is, or am I running into some sort of unique problem?
When I say slow, I mean it takes half an hour to get 1% of the content...

hmmm....shouldn't be that slow, you aren't on dialup are you? 
How are you connecting the xbox? through the router or direct from your modem?

so your using the xbox360's wireless adaptor or its connected from your wireless route via a network cable?
I don't remembering having any firewall issues or anything when i was setting it up, this was the closest thing i could find on xbox tech support, not really related but maybe it'll be a little helpful.
