I didn't go in.

I went swimming Friday and Saturday in pools, sunday in one of the lakes mentioned in the paper.

It's pretty gross for sure.. The pool I swim at closes for 24 hours (or the day at least) in the event of a floater or even vomit I think.

It makes me feel good - but the day after showing up when the pool is closed and empty always feels a bit gross.

That reminds me of a village I went to in the Maritimes a few years back. We drove in looking for a place for lunch. No one was around at all. Went down to the dock and the place was absolutely littered with rotting fish parts. Now I understand that you expect to see a few fish parts on a dock, but this place had huge piles of them everywhere, just rotting there, and again no one was around.

It was very strange. And very gross.

If I were him I'd be worried about all the boiling hot water rushing into his neo-rectum.

reminds me of the time in elementary school where i snuck in an Oh Henry bar to the local public pool. steathily placing it in the water and watching the ensuing stampede of people rushing to get out of the pool made for some good times indeed

Not sure why...but one of the funniest things I've read on here in a while.

If you think and worry about all the places there's germs in everyday life, you'll end up like Howard Hughes or Monty Burns with kleneex boxes on your feet.

Always amazes me guys that scrub their hands raw for 3 mins in a public bathroom or at work bathroom, then use those same hands to turn off the tap, press down on the towel dispenser and open the bathroom door after guys, who do a rinse, or less, have touched those taps and those handles before them.

Any door handle. or shopping cart, or, another favourite, the plastic handrail on an escalator which just sucks in the sweat and crap on peoples hands and keeps it just warm enough for your hand.

Neo-rectum? Is that some new age poop chute or something?

Well that's what you can call the "new" opening, medically speaking. Diverted poo exit will also suffice.
