Most of my time has been spent playing Medal of Honor. In fact I still play it quite regularily.
The fact that you have included that abortion of a game KOTOR 2 makes me think less of your entire list.

Oh snap, I really should have found a spot for KOTOR (the first one) somewhere on my list. I actually liked the sequel even better than the original until I got to the last few hours and it became obvious that the game was rushed out for a Christmas release and they hadn't finished the ending yet. If only they had spent just a few more months working on that game it would have been incredible.

Cool to see some other Civ players on here.

My list includes a variety of different games on different platforms from different eras. I'm just listing ones I had a lots of fun playing throughout different times in my life:

Civilization IV
Space Quest III
Final Fantasy VII
Chrono Trigger
Zelda

Honroable mentions:
LORD (back in the BBS days)
Monkey Island (great humour!)
Wii Tennis (I was so amazed at the controls)
Pac Man (on the classic Atari)
Duke Nukem 3D (used to play multi-player with a friend over dial-up, good times)

Edit: oops didn't read computer games and just listed any video games. But you can play all those games on emulators now anyway

1. Quakeworld Team Fortress - The first mod to ever make it big, and undeniably one of the most amazing games to ever be created for free

2. Fortress Forever - I am currently beta testing this yet unreleased Half-Life 2 mod, a follow up to QWTF, TFC, and the proper heir to the TF throne, it is balls to the wall fantastic...and FREE!

3. Day Of The Tentacle/Sam And Max/Space Quest 4 - Collectively the three most hilarious adventure games ever created, I still play them all every year or two on an old Windows 98 rig I have built specifically for pre-1996 games.

4. Battlefield 1942/Vietnam - The last two installments have tried but have yet to match the awesomeness of the original, or the jungle fun of it's sequel.

5. Counter-Strike/Counter-Strike:Source - I am insanely good at twitch gaming, so these are both tops for me. BOOM! HEADSHOT!

Honourable Mentions:

TFC - Team Fortress Classic, the Half-Life remake that was slightly slower and about 80% as fun as the original
C&C Red Alert - Still the best RTS ever made
Police Quest 4: Open Season - Insanely inventive and in depth adventure game
Civilization 4 - Best turn-based strat ever made, most balanced and fun in the Civilization series
Duke Nukem 3D - Epic's masterpiece, turned the world of gaming on it's head with violence, sex, and loads of toungue-in-cheek humour

You know, after reading this I do remember playing Duke Nukem and Doom. I suck at FPS games though.

Oregon Trail, Police Quest, and LORD. Man those bring back fond memories. Also brings back memories of being on the Octopod BBS in the library in Jr. High. Back when I downloaded .mods instead of .mp3s heh.

I recently had a really strange urge to play the original Quest for Glory. Like ORIGINAL original VGA version.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Starcontrol 1 or especially 2. Many a night was spent by me and my brother hammering away at the crowded keyboard of a Tandy 1000TX trying to suck the life out of an Ur'Quan with a Syreen vessel. Or with an Arileeloo. Great times.

So I'd have to go with:

1) Starcon 2
2) Counter Strike
3) Ultima 5
4) SimCity Franchise
5) Civ 3

Honorable mention to Space Quest / Police Quest. Roger Wilco Rules!

Had to post after reading this. Though way to many to list, so will stick to the games that prompted 4 of us to network the house while going to school.

1) Diablo (Many tests barely passed due to this game)
2) Mechwarrior 2
3) Warcraft 2
4) C&C
5) Duke Nukem
6) Doom 2
7) Civilization
8) Syndicate
9) Heroes of Might and Magic

Since the technology advance of the 14.4k modem. Would have to say Neverwinter Nights, Baldur's Gate, WoW, Diablo 2, Kotor.

I didn't realized that I wasn't allowed to like games that you didn't like. I also wanted to add these games to my list, perhaps I'll ask you first if I should've liked them or not:

The Kings Quest Series (1 through 3)
The Space Quest Series (1 through 4)
Police Quest & Police Quest 2

There is more in those 3 series, but I didn't play them.

^ All the old Sierra games are classic.

There was also the Hero's Quest and Gabriel Knight series which were good as well. But I prefered the old typing interface to the point-and-click ones. The point and click made it too easy.

And I think the Internet took away the challenge of those games. For me, at least, it was way too tempting just to look at a walkthrough on the Internet when I got stuck rather than spend weeks figuring it out and restarting from the beginning to see if I had forgotten anything along the way...

I recently pulled out and booted up my old Tandy and played King's Quest. I too found it easy to go look on the internet for cheats becaue I couldn't remember a thing.
