From a practical point of view, I like driving on country highways in a blizzard a whole lot more than driving in the city in the same conditions. The Durango just blazes along!!

Santa on the Anchor D ranch west of Turner Valley yesterday . . . wheels instead of skis . . . for the second year in a row. How many times have we had two brown Christmases in a row?

We got 3 feet overnight here in London a few weeks back. It shut the city down. If you went 20 minutes in most directions though they only got about 3 inches. If I could attach images I would show you some pics.

Damn it's a depressing gloomy day outside.... I'll take sunshine and -20 than this anyday.

Good thing I'm at work.

Great... neither snow nor rain, but this freezing ice stuff. Gonna be a slick drive anywhere today.

I gotta drive to Radium at 5 tonight. Should be an interesting one. I was hoping to beat my record of 2 hrs and 10 minutes from COP to Radium. Doesn't look like I'll be making an attempt today.

my sis is driving from invermere to Calgary today, took her 2 hours to get off Storm mountain (usually takes 1 I guess) so take it easy out there.

Roads and driveways are sheer ice here. Snow is just starting to fall.

Just as long as it's open. I got all night to get there.

My parents were heading out there this morning for a 2 day holiday but turned around at the Sunshine turnoff and spent the day in Banff. They were saying the roads are really bad and cars in the ditch.

At least I won't be working this week, so I don't have to worry about the idiots out there. Plus, I can put the winter tires on my Subaru to good use now.

it took my parents 6 hours to drive up to Edmonton today. I have to drive up to Sylvan on Friday - hopefully the roads are a little bit better by that point.

Have fun in snorkelling or reef diving in the best coral reef outside the South Pacific!
