The dell site is sold out now. Costco has a similar good deal - it has everything that dell one has, minus Gears of war, but add in another wireless controller with a rechargeable battery, HD cables and 3 months of Xbox live for 550$. I went out and bought this set basically for the GoW. It's a great game and not to take anything away from it, but I thought the commercial was even better. It seemed to capture a mood perfectly that I never actually felt in the game. But yeah its alot of fun, although I don't know if its 550 dollars worth of fun. Knowing now what I know, I would personally wait until after christmas for the price drop.

Does anyone have an idea of where is the best place to buy just the game? After reading all the threads here about it, deciding between this one and CoD3 as a gift has been easier. I bought my bf a 360 last year for Christmas so I don't need the package deal one, just the game itself. I've been trying to search online for the best price but haven't had a lot of time. I would really like to avoid driving from store to store comparing prices if I can, so if anyone has any suggestions it would really help a girl out.
Thanks in advance!

haha I jump around a few message boards, due to my NHL, CFL and NFL loves. And I swear in all four of em, there's a thread titled "Gears of War", with the question being "Whats that song in that Gears of War commercial?". That song's getting more publicity from that commercial than the game is.

I think I'm still going to hold out until Halo3 comes out.

The whole package I think needs a decent TV, which I don't have, so, I'm not going to buy a new TV, xbox, and games just now since I can't really affoard it.

Maybe next september at the soundsaround sale.. if they have a decent one this year.. That's it.. I'll put aside... ughh.. I was going to say a few bucks every month, but that's like $400 per month.. which is.. ugh.. vomit.. forget my plan.. I hate you all!

I would say in general Future Shop or Best Buy have fairly cheap prices, as they want people in the store so that you accidently buy an HDTV.

ToysRUs has good prices too, I would phone them first (not that this will help your bf's videogaming habit seeming "juvenile")
