Well, I did buy a 360 for the game, and I have no regrets ... its not the longest single player, but I love the look and shooting fun.

I as well pretty much bought the 360 for the game. Like Flames89 said, its not the longest single player, but it has huge replay value in my mind. I've heard the multiplayer on xboxlive is even better than the single player, but I haven't gotten around to getting live yet.
Plus there is another thread about the Halo 3 preview which also looks epic

Song in the comercial is Mad World by Gary Jules. Originally a Tears for Fears song, the GoW version is a slight re-mix of the version used on the Donnie Darko soundtrack.

Wow, you answered my question without me even having to ask it. That commerical is VERY well done. The music goes perfectly with it, I want to find that song now.

Seems to be a popular game. I hadn't much interest as it is a FPS, but there is so much buzz, that perhaps it is time to put it on my wish list.
Apparantly Xbox Live is a big beneficiary of Gears of War (and I would imagine based on posts here, that there is an uptick in purchases of 360s for same reason).

Not the biggest FPS fan but this is truly one of the best games that I have ever played. It's also one of the best reviewed games in history. It is in the top 20 of the gamespot reviews of all time.
It is a console mover and the stores know this. Everytime i walk into a Future Shop or EB Games there are multiple 360 bundles walking out the door.

Gears of War is to the X-Box360 as Halo was to the original X-Box.

Thanks for posting that cause I never would have knew it was on sale. I was asking my parents for one of these for Christmas and if the right deal came along they were going to give it to me early. The best I was seeing at Bestbuy and Futureshop was $30 off.

If you want it cheaper, Future Shop should be able to price match plus 10 percent off the difference. Just be sure to do it today as it's only on sale at Dell for one day.

I already ordered but really there probably wouldnt have been any difference since 10% of $60 is $6 and shipping for Futureshop is about $6 too so with me also getting free shipping with Dell it comes out to pretty much the same.

I was at HMV the other day, looking at 360 games, and one of the guys working there comes up to me and says "a little bird told me the xbox 360 is having a price drop right after new years"...not sure how reliable this info is, but hope its true. The Xbox deals seem to be getting better and better these days.
