I had lunch Terry Clark at the Calgary airport. My girlfriend at the time was really excited, but I didn't even realize who Terry Clark was at the time. I still don't know what she sings.
I saw Robin Williams at Chapters in Lethbridge. It was while they were filming RV.
Jessica Alba on set for Dark Angel in Vancouver.
I talked to the singer for Fishbone and John K. Samson from Propagandi.
I watched "Up in Smoke" with the drummer from Bad Religion in their tour bus. His mom was actually in the movie.
And most recently I saw that guy who plays Magneto in the X-Men movies here in Agassiz.
And I almost forgot. I saw Charlie Sheen in Victoria a few years ago. He was stopped on his motorcycle and chatting with fans. Seemed like a very friendly guy, but he did have mean looking biker body guards.

I haven't really met anyone of interest aside from a few hockey players, however, my Dad has sat beside quite a few famous people on the airplane.
Steve Austin and Heidi Klum.

It couldn't have been that far away as I don't think she's visible to the naked eye from further than 30 feet.

oh ya, i just remembered .... i ate at the same table as Denis Gauthier and Steve Begin at Japanese Village.
got my boys picture taken with Gauthier while wearing his Canucks jersey, lol. Gauthier was actually pretty cool about it, probably why Sutter traded him, if he was a real Flame in the heart, he would have hip checked me for asking for a picture with my Canucks clad son.

D'OH!
So, how did Samuel do in his round?

Paul McCartney: He's my friends cousin. Met him when I was only 6 years old. He took the kids in the neighbourhood for a quick drive around the block in his new Bentley. Also, played "Hey Jude" on the piano. Pretty cool actually.
Princess Anne: I was walking home from a Liverpool soccer match when I saw a large crowd by the Royal Court Theatre in Liverpool. I wondered what was going on so pushed to the front only to be standing directly in front of the princess. I could only manage "Oh, hello" while she gave me a small nod. Lucky I wasn't shot coming through the crowd like that!
Richard Branson: Saw him walking through L.A. airport.
Numerous Liverpool football players over the years.
The Dion, while he was playing in Red Deer. (Surely the biggest sighting of them all!!!!)

Seen/met a lot over the time, but my most recent and highest profile was Russell Crowe at The Time Hotel in New York. Met the drummer and the bassist at the bar after some #####ty a$$ service and ended up rolling with them in the lame, "VIP" area. Nonetheless, he was pretty laid back and did shots of JD all night. We were smashed. it was classy.

met Craig Simpson before a celebrity game of wheelchair hockey. I told him to "keep your head up", he gave me a dirty look; and when the game started he was brutally slashing at me, playing extra rough and wouldn't talk to me..
later his wife was rubbing my shoulders during the team photo

I've seen Dave Lowry at the Talisman Centre once when I was playing badminton. He was walking towards the workout area, and I said hi, but he just looked back at me and gave a quick wave.
Also saw Craig Button leaving the Talisman Centre, I believe this was between his Calgary and Toronto stints, but I was walking towards the basketball courts as he was leaving. My friend and I looked at each other and said, hey that's Craig Button. So I yelled, "Hey CRAIG!" in a very hostile tone (unintentionally). And he quickly glanced back, then ran up the stairs to the exit! lol.

I got to golf a round with Bearcat Murray once. It was prett cool, and he's a pretty nice guy. He even stuck around for a drink after the round and just shot the s*** with us for an hour or two.
I also got to ride on System of a Down's tour bus. This may be exciting for some, but I don't care for the band and it went something like this.
We were walking down the street in Penticton a few years ago on our way to the Blue Mule when a rather large tour bus pulls up.
Dude hops off
Dude: "Hey, you guys know where the Blue Mule is"
Me: "Yeah, we're going there right, now, it's about three blocks up the street, you can't miss it"
D: "Cool, you guys want a ride"
M: "Sure"
we hop on the bus and there are a few other guys, and some pretty unattractive chicks, and the bus smelled like **** and beer.
D: "You guys want a beer"
M: "Sure (I'll never turn down free beer)......(kind of jokingly, kind of serious) so are you guys famous or something?"
D: "Yeah, we're System of a Down"
M: "Oh...I've heard of you.."
We finished our beers and got off, and went into the club with them, and went our seperate ways. At least I got a free beer and didn't have to stand in line out of the deal.

Numerous CFL'ers and some NHL'ers. Here's the notables, with others.
Brian Mulroney - Air Canada Lounge in T.0 (Exchange handshakes and hellos)
John Candy - Cool Runnings filming at UofC
Eugene Levy - At LA airport (Autographed my Air Canada ticket jacket)
Lanny McDonald - several times. We has a mutual friend
Ted Danson and Mary Steenbergen. (Had dinner next to us at Eau Claire)
Donald Trump - Walked past wife and I in NYC. Will post picture.
Darryl Sutter - at Ames Brothers Tile in SE (Summer of 2003). Talked him into looking into this unkown named Kiprusoff out in San Jose
Ed Whalen and Scotty Bowman - Was introduced to them before they broadcast a game on 2&7. It was the famous Grimson/Brown showdown game vs. Edmonton.

Craig Simspon is a dick. A friend of mine was selling TV's in Edmonton a couple years ago, and this guy comes in checking out some big screens. He's asking a couple questions, and the Oiler's highlights come on. They were doing crap at the time, and my friend says "I'll tell you what, no matter what TV I sell you, I can't make the Oilers look good!" The guy makes some comment and storms out of the store. That night my friend is watching the Oilers game and sees Craig Simpson behind the bench and says "Thats the dick that stormed out of the store today when I made the Oilers joke!"
