Calgary will take quite a few years to come out of this rebuild.

And the longer they keep Andersson, Kadri and Colemen, the longer the rebuild will take.

Calgary really needs a top pick this year to hopefully get an elite talent.

It will be a missed opportunity if they don't, especially at the expense of keeping two players (Colemen and Kadri) who will not be part of the next winning core.

If we add an elite talent this year and Parekh figures it out late this year / next year, it could be 2 elite talents that we are adding right away.. That's why I don't think this is a 7 year rebuild where we start competing in 2030

It's not really a mystery. We have no players capable of putting up a point per game on average, and to be fair, we only have one that is paid at the rate you should expect that and we all know what happened there. This team is pretty much scoring as one would expect.
