Excited for Cooley.
One of the very few bright spots.
Wolf has been kind of inconsistent.. maybe a sophomore slump, which behind this team is totally understandable.

Well if games played isn’t used, I’m sure a back up came in as relief for one single game, didn’t allow a goal, lost and never played another nhl minute

I'm okay with it because it shows it's possible.
I wanted them to sit Lomberg when they had Lomberg - Zary/Sharangovich - Klapka as a line and thought it made a lot more sense to have a LW with some offensive talent on a line to deploy it differently. Because you had two skilled players playing with Lomberg which really isn't going to work and meant the 4th line lacked an identity.
Beecher - Morton - Klapka isn't really taking a different approach to the 4th line, and is still not playing Klapka with more talented players...so I still don't love it.
If they are steadfast on having a 4th line that is purely there for "Don't get scored on" reasons then I'd still probably rather they just go Lomberg-Morton-Beacher, play Klapka higher up the line up and just take out one of Zary or Sharangovich.

So this is the last game of the 10 game stretch where people thought the Flames had a bit of a softer schedule (@Preds, @Flyers, Jackets, Hawks, Wild, Blues, Sharks, Jets, Hawks).
Right now Flames are 3-6-0 in the first 9 games....lose tonight and go to 3-7-0 in what was a pretty soft stretch and I think that bodes pretty well for a high pick.
